Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Tecumseh

I grew up in Tecumseh. I have lived many different places and been to donut shops all over, but the food here is the best. Unfortunately, the last several times I have gone thru town they have been closed. Always on days/times they would normally be open. Yesterday, I had a hair appt in the area so I made a point to leave early to be sure and get there well before the closing time which is at noon. Me and my children pulled up at 10 a.m. to see a sign on the door saying they ran out of donuts and were closed. At 10 a.m.! We live about 40 minutes away. Hopefully next time we can catch them when they are open I guess.

**. Updated a year later, adjusted my stars accordingly. This place has really gone down hill. Arrived at 9:25, only thing they have left is biscuits and gravy. I was told no other hot foods. I have been sitting here for a bit though, and now they are selling Cajun pies and sausage rolls for half off? Not sure what’s wrong with them, but not willing to try. I think it is safe to say, the donut shop I remembered is long gone and I should stop...

Watch the workers. I seen a lady drop a sausage rollin the ground pick it up and see if anyone seen her through it in the trash after she seen me looking at her then proceeded to putting the rest of the sausage rolls into the bags and placing them into the warmer. I just gave my sausage roll to my dog when I got home. She had gloves on but did not change them after picking up the sausage roll off the floor. Did not wash her hand just kept on working like there is no germs on the floor or in the trash can. They change almost everything. I loved going here because everything was good and the workers were amazing. Now there food taste like every other donut shop and the prices have gone through the roof. So now I have to pay more for something that is not even as good as it used to be. I only get donuts from here now the rest can go in the trash where...

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is great and consistent visit after visit. The employees are all super friendly and get you taken care of and on your way fast. Even if there is a line out to the street, which there commonly is, don't pass it by. The line moves fast and is worth the small amount of time spent waiting either inside or in the drive thru line.

The ONLY downfall here is that you gotta get there early most days, I mean with an hour of opening, to have a full menu to choose from. The items go fast and when they are gone there gone til the next day. I usually get the doughnut holes and they are delicious. As is the rest of the selection of pastry delights they...
