Horrible room with cockroaches No communication between employees Unprofessional and rude director’s behaviour Poor and terrible service recovery Made customer to explain more than 3times No apologies at all Disgusting service mind. Damn old facilities. Nothing work properly. Room is too hot. Need to use stairs. (Key and air conditioner don’t work, Lift out of order all the times)
I had the most terrible and horrible experience in my life. It completely unacceptable and destroyed my journey. I stayed 3nights in your hotels which was room 354. The room was super hot and smelly. On 7 August, i even found a kkrocah in the bath room n ask to change the room to other floors. Ms. Gabriella who was in charged that night promised to change the room to the first floor after other customer checked out next day after 12pm. We had a plan to come back to the hotel around 4pm so she asked us to left our baggage to the front desk. It was great that she did her best to help us. However, next morning which was on 8 August, when we went to the front desk after packing everything , the staff had no idea what exactly happened to us which made me explain again about it. She even asked me to talk to the manager who was just standing beside me. His name was soma mahayage, director of rooms. He didn’t even apologize and told me he would do his best. I told him if i got a same floor it didn’t make sense to change my room. But he kept saying he couldn’t do anything due to full occupancy. I asked him why there were no communication and it different what she said to me last night. He said just no idea about that. I told him why he putted her as a manager which meant who were on duty. But he said she was not a manager. How he could say like that way. Whatever employees said to the customers were crucial and needed to consider it no matter what position they were. I was so annoyed and surprised about his rude and unprofessional attitude. Also, He touched my right arm while he was talking to me. It completely and utterly unacceptable when you work in the hotel as a management position. You must check CCTV and figure out why he did that to me. This issue was commenced at 10am to 10:16am on 8 August at the front office. I felt disgusting when he touched me and it wasn’t helpful at all to make me understand about that situation. He treated me like an young girl who were complaining with no reason. I would say it was the worst hotel ever. The director was dealing other complaints with customers as well. You often can see the complaints customers at the front office. But the staff and director keep saying “I can’t do anything.I don’t know. We don’t have any rooms” It is literally disasters. I wonder how this hotel got an award from trip advisor. They have to reconsider about it. I won’t waste my time and money here in...
Read moreThe Clinton Inn is a complete disaster. The person at the reception desk is non-communicative and actually rude. The facility is rundown and dirty. The night we checked in, my son couldn't get into his room with the card key given him. He went back and forth 3 times (not an easy task as a set of steep steps had to be negotiated) and the cards never worked. Finally, a security guard accompanied him to open the door and, upon opening it, it was discovered that another man's belongings and toiletries were in the room. The man showed up, expecting to occupy his room, discovered my son there. It turned out he had spoken to the hotel about having to extend his stay and they assigned a different room to him without telling him. When my son suggested they allow him to take the unoccupied room, letting this man stay in the room where he had been, he was told it was not possible. The man took his belongings and no one apologized to either one of them and no one came to clean the room to prepare it for my son. During the next two days (until we could make arrangements for a move) the man's used and open hotel provided toiletries were left in place by the chambermaid with my son never being given fresh items. Last night, I couldn't get into my room with the cards I had been using. I had to go back to the clerk who made me another card. That didn't work either and the same security guard then accompanied me to open my door for me. When doing my room, the chamber maid never restocked the bathroom with a full complement of towels. When checking out this morning, a woman in a wheelchair, accompanied by an attendant, was frustratingly and irritatedly speaking to the reception clerk because she had been told that she would have to switch to another room because her room, which was the only one with a "wheel in" shower, had been assigned to someone else. The woman responded that she had reserved the room two months before, that she was hostessing a luncheon for 70 people at the Inn the next day and she had to have the room. The clerk only nodded and said she'd let the woman know. At the same time, the same clerk told me that things were charged to my Visa card, # whatever. I told her it was impossible because I never gave them a credit card #. She just repeated the same thing and I said again it was impossible. She then called her manager who confirmed what I had told her. I can only say if anybody needs accommodations in the Tenafly, NJ area, try with all your might to go someplace else. The Clinton Inn is a disaster with no customer satisfaction attempted at all! It doesn't deserve any stars, but it can't be posted unless at least one...
Read moreThis is one of the poorest hotel experiences I've had in over 20 years as a road warrior. Upon arrival Sunday evening to check-in I encountered a good 10 minutes wait. Not because it was busy, I was the ONLY person in lobby at 8:30. Not a front desk person, nobody. Finally after 10 minutes of me walking around and saying "Hello? Is anyone here?" someone finally emerged from behind the office behind the counter and was obviously from the look his face clearly upset about being disturbed from his nap. So finally checked in and off to the room I go. And it's about 60 degrees in the room. Turn up the heat, nothing, just more cold air. I will credit the maintenance gentlemen with arriving quickly and taking care of the issue. I could on about the food in the restaurant, but that should be a whole other review with even less stars. Forward to Tuesday night: The heater hasn't shut off two days even though I've set the unit to 50 degrees. Again credit to maintenance for quickly showing up and "resolving" the issue. Now the AC will not shut off. No fault to the maintenance gentlemen, the equipment is obviously badly in need of replacement. Finally, and this is my favorite part, it's now 11:30 PM, about an hour or so, some large group of younger (teenage children) people have been given all the rooms around me. Look I get it, they are young kids, this all very exciting, fun and a bunch of other things for them. However putting them inter-mixed with adults with jobs is horrible idea. Whoever thought this one up obviously didn't think things through. They've quieted down some since I had to call the front desk, who were rude, again. There's still music playing loud enough to be heard through the walls, as are the childrens voices, foot stomping and other "activities". (you figure that one out.) My work is going to bring to this area for the next 12 months or so, every week. I'll not be staying in this hotel, not ever again. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, anywhere.
(The two stars were for the...
