Migam is an absolute gem of a Mom-and-Pop Korean restaurant, serving up some of the freshest and most flavorful Korean food we've ever had. The restaurant is small, with just six tables, so be prepared for a possible wait—but trust us, it’s worth it. Conveniently, there’s a free three-hour parking lot right next door, making access a breeze.
Run by a sweet husband-and-wife duo, the service at Migam is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. We started our meal with the fried dumplings, cod pancakes, and traditional banchan. The dumplings were outstanding—crispy, flavorful, and easily the best we've ever had. The cod pancakes were unique, resembling an omelet rather than a traditional seafood pancake (which they also offer). The banchan selection was excellent, featuring classic kimchi, pickled Napa cabbage, pumpkin potato salad, and marinated eggplant, all of which added a wonderful variety of flavors and textures.
For our entrées, we chose the bulgogi and the Napa cabbage stew. Both were exceptional—rich, hearty, and packed with authentic Korean flavors. Every bite confirmed that we've found our new favorite Korean restaurant.
Migam delivers an authentic Korean dining experience that’s well worth the visit. Whether you're a longtime fan of Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, this cozy spot will...
Read moreWe just arrived from Orlando, and our very first meal in Tenafly — affectionately known as the Gangnam of New Jersey — was at Migam Korean Cuisine. It was the perfect start to our trip.
This is more than just a restaurant — it’s a story of family, tradition, and love. Mom cooks with extraordinary care, dad manages the front with warmth, and their son — a classically trained pianist — is now learning the cherished family recipes alongside her in the kitchen. That heartfelt spirit comes through in every bite.
My wife, our son, and his girlfriend (who’s from a Latin American background and new to Korean food) all absolutely loved it. The flavors were authentic and deeply comforting — like a homemade meal from someone who wants you to feel at home.
Migam is a true gem. If you’re anywhere near Tenafly, don’t miss the chance to experience this special place. We only wish we had something like this back home in Orlando — we’ll...
Read moreI was quite taken aback after trying out the food since all the reviews have been relatively great. But some of the food that my friends and I ordered didn’t exceed our expectations unfortunately. We ordered the Galbi tang, Haemul Jjampong, Haemul dolsot bibimbap, and bibim guksu for reference. I would say that out of those, the Haemul jjampong was the best and I do recommend that dish for those interested.
I wouldn’t recommend, however, getting the galbi tang and haemul dolsot bibimbap. The galbi tang didn’t taste fresh and had a sort of gamey-ness to it as there were a lot of impurities in the broth (as you can see in other photos) and the hameul bibimbap was a little bland… The owner did mention that there was no MSG added which I do believe as the flavors of the food didn’t have that wow factor as most restaurants that add MSG do. If you’re conscious of this, then this place might be a better...
