Paintbrush Inn — Hotel in Thermopolis

Can I give a negative rating?! Upon arrival we were told that we would be in the "special" honey moon suite. When opening the door we were shocked to find a dirty 70's relic of a suite. The mattress must have also been from that era, with two visible gigantic body sinkholes in it. The bathroom, the kitchen, and everything in the room was filthy. We even found rotted fruit and food which was expired over 10 years ago, complete with the flies to accompany it. Then, to top it all off, leaving our room for a late dinner (BTW everything was closed early) we see a prostitute working it for the truck drivers in the parking lot. It is said that satisfaction lies between expectation and perception of its fulfilment. Having visited Thermopolis and other small Wyoming towns, my expectations were set for a modest lodging experience, yet in a very fun place.

As such, this motel deserves 4 stars within its class and $65 price.

Room had one king bed that was comfy and had clean sheets. Everything is well dated but is reasonably clean. Parking is a breeze and the owner was very pleasant at check in.

An air conditioner that works better would warrant 5 stars.

If Hampton Inn is more your style it's best to look elsewhere. But for the adventurous and who appreciate campy, fun places, Paintbrush Inn...

Here I am sitting at the laundrymat with stinky stained blankets and sheets that smell like mold.i asked for new sheets but still moldy smell. I paid for two nights and then we got settled in and I noticed how stained and stinky the Sheets Were looked really looked around at the rooms and I actually had to clean for about a half hour I demanded a refund she will not give a refund so here I sit at the laundromat washing bedding for god sakes don't ever stay at this Motel none of the rooms are like you see in the pictures I'm very upset and I'm trying not to let this ruin my vacation.
