I had the worst experience ever in this hotel! Do not take room 203 because you cannot take a bath when you take a bath in that room the overflow valve goes into the office and they charge you a $300 fine. I’ve never been in a hotel that doesn’t allow taking a bath nor a hotel or any residential or commercial property that has bathing facilities where the drains run into the walls into the fire system instead of a pipe system where dirty water goes!I was not in the hotel for more than three hours almost immediately after I took my bath and had the manager bang on my door and angry way to tell me to get out of the bathtub because it’s leaking in the office they called the police had me exit it and I was charged triple the room rate plus the $300 fine! They really had the nerve to call the special police want me to have me exit it and I did nothing but take a bath! The manager told me room 201, 203and 204 are the leaking rooms and the police officer told me that they also exited room 204 for the same problem so this is a scam if you stay here! I knew there had to be a problem because when I first checked and my card was charged double and they told me no payment was received I check my bank account and saw that their hotel charge my card twice then the end had a police officer knocking on my door for cash and if I didn’t give them the cash I had to leave immediately. Also the lady told me I could take a bath but I have to be a very low bath so that means no soaking they really meant a birdbath. I will be filing a lawsuit against this business because I just had surgery and Having to carry all of my things and such an abrupt manner cost me additional injuries. I was forced to leave their premises in an angry way and I was very tired and this was completely unexpected after I checked in and I even went to the office and asked the management if everything was OK and please come check my room because I don’t understand why any water will be dripping downstairs from just the overflow in the bath. I wasn’t able to enjoy my bath for more than five minutes before someone came banging on the door and I...
Read morePut simply, this place was FANTASTIC! From the moment we entered the room, the strange pungent odor of what can only be described as '4-week old dead body' invited us in and set the tone early. The absence of any wall plates on the electrical outlets went miles to helping ensure my traveling partner and I weren't the only guests in the room, which was excellent.
The well-warranted $5 upcharge for a remote control for the television was passed on when I checked in, effectively transforming what would have been a 30" LG television into an inoperable semi-reflective portal into which my silhouette against the chipped, smoke-stained wall behind the bed could stare and reflect on the utter brilliance and keen decision-making I demonstrated in choosing this fine establishment to spend the remainder of my evening in.
The empty backplate of a missing smoke detector above my bed, complete with exposed wires and a wad of rolled up tissue paper some previous guest had presumably jammed into the gaping hole, was an admittedly nice touch as well. Did I mention this was a smoking room? Fantastic.
I was especially surprised to find a hand towel in the bathroom, however. No larger towel to dry off with after showering was provided for either myself or my companion, so i was not entirely disappointed.
All in all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. I was thrilled that the staff here found no cause to remove the peeling, nicotine- yellowed cellophane wrapping from around the lampshade prior to affixing it to the lamp at my bedside. Such frivolous attempts at presentation made by other comparable establishments have always put me off, as I'm sure they have for you as well.
So book with confidence here: there's a tranquility that comes with the fear of removing a single article of clothing when settling into the bed that I'm sure I don't need to explain to you....
Read moreThe pictures make this place look nice from the outside. But in reality I think the health department would have something to say if they inspected this hotel. The 1st room 212 was horrible, I think part of the vinyl on the floor was gone, walls was dirty and the whole room was in bad condition and smelled like old cigarette smoke. The room was slum. I turned around and flew down to the front desk. I asked the lady who was very nice. Was there a better room , because I couldn't stand the room reeking of smoke. So she kindly gave me another room. Room 108, 1st floor. Got into the room and it was better in appearance. BUT, BUT the room had a horrible musty smell which made me believe there is a mold issue. The carpet on the floor was dirty. I couldnt make myself get in the bathtub. Washups did the job for the 2 days I stayed. The TV was fuzzy and not clear. The inside appearance of this motel was very depressing. Im glad I only stayed 2 days and that was too much, but a storm was coming so I stomached the 2 days. I did sleep with light on and chair pushed against door. On the last day I smelled a horrible odor when I was over the sink. It smelled like someone or a bunch of people had vomited down the drain. I was so ready to go, and my bags was ready. Never smelled that the first day, just smelled the moldy smell that wouldn't go away even when the door was open. Didn't safe even though the outside was literally lit up like it was Christmas. The whole business needs to be closed down ,aired out, repainted, repaired, rewired, dirty carpet needs to be removed. I don't know if new owners are trying to continue to rent out rooms and slowly do patchup jobs, but there has to be another way to get this motel up and running under better condition. So no I won't want to book this...
