I purchased one of your larger rooms for three nights to enjoy the holiday weekend, and upon arriving and checking in later in the evening on Thursday evening, we quickly noticed that our room only had two towels included in the room and no sheets or blankets to use for the pull out bed. We went down to the front desk around maybe 11 p.m. to ask for those items. I was told that the facility was out of towels and that I would need to come back the next day to get some. I accepted the fact that my family of four couldn't all shower with our own towels prior to going to bed the first night.
The next day on Friday, I went down in the afternoon asking for towels so we could all shower after a long morning/afternoon in the 94 degrees heat. I was again told by the same receptionist that they were out of towels and that I would have to come back the next day for towels. This is now two days without having enough towels for my family to use. I asked her when a manager would be in, and she let me know that I could come speak to a manager the next morning (Saturday), since one would arrive at 7 a.m. During this time, there were also no towels to use at the pool, so not only did we not have towels to use for showering, there were none to use at the pool.
I came down AGAIN on Saturday morning around 9 a.m. to again be told there were no towels that my family could get. Apparently, it was a sold out night; however, I couldn't get towels the two previous days either, and no one could tell me why. I was then informed that the manager was on vacation and wouldn't be able to help me either. I eventually started crying at the front desk due to the clear frustration of paying nearly $500 for our stay and not being able to even get towels to take showers with. The front desk associate even tried to give me some small floor towels that are used for soaking up the water from the shower that gets on the floor in the bathroom as a consolation for not having bathroom towels for the last three days. I would not accept those since they wouldn't even cover us up after a shower, so she eventually went and found two full size towels for us to use on our last day at the hotel. Where they all the sudden came from, I have no clue, but why couldn't that have happened days before???
Outside of the towel issue, our room's bathroom shower wouldn't drain properly and just held dirty water in the bottom, our room phone didn't work, our room door wouldn't open to our room properly and took soooo many attempts to even get in the room, breakfast was not refilled and out of things daily, and they had to close the pool down due to child pooping on the deck surrounding the pool. When the pool closed, the poop stayed there for hours prior to it getting cleaned up and the pool eventually opening back up after it was shocked with more chemicals.
I did email the manager about our stay, and I was offered Choice Privilege points...
Read moreThis place is great! • Excellent, clean rooms • Inviting, fresh staff • Beautiful, relaxing lobby • Open, walkable, peaceful corner of town
I recently stayed here, needing to step out a few times from home, and my experience at this location was flawless. This hotel sits in an open, relaxed corner of town — with food and grocery options walkable nearby, and Subway literally across the street. The calmness and peacefulness of this location is what keeps me returning — even with many hotels closer to me. This has become a true retreat.
And the staff at this Comfort Inn deserves the highest respect. The front desk team was excellent — present, attentive, and consistently kind. Like CJ, who welcomed me on my first arrival and chatted over local sports. And Belinda, who made my visit especially memorable — she took the time to stop, connect, learn my story, and relate with authentic kindness. She made me feel genuinely welcomed here — not just processed through a front desk. Housekeeping was courteous, friendly, and delivered rooms that felt brand-new inside — spotless, well-arranged, and carefully detailed. The parking lots are also clean, well-lit, and spacious — plenty of easy parking right near the rooms.
Breakfast each morning was a standout highlight. Nancy, who leads the kitchen, is a true gem of hospitality. She rotates a delicious variety of fresh, hot meals — with incredible meats. Her food is cared for, not just served. The eggs and toast were consistently fantastic, and the sliced brats and sausages I got one morning were some of the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel breakfast. And Vontae — Nancie’s support — was extremely kind as well. I saw him chatting with guests several times, attentive to quality, and clearly caring that the food was done right. Breakfast here feels like going to a friend’s home — not a typical hotel buffet.
The hotel environment is comfortable, clean, and refreshing. My room was quiet and restful, with new-feeling interior finishes that showed real care. The lobby is open and bright with vaulted ceilings, comfortable couches, and fresh coffee always available — the perfect place to settle, rest, or work. Even the outdoor seating in the evenings was surprisingly peaceful — another thoughtful touch that made the property feel home-like, not just functional.
I’ve been coming here often recently — and I keep coming back. This is a great place and a beautiful retreat, and it comes with my highest recommendation. Thank you to Belinda, Nancy, Vontae, and your entire staff — I truly enjoyed my time here.
I highly recommend Comfort Inn & Suites Toledo North for any traveler — business or personal — and I will absolutely stay here again the next...
Read moreWe arrived around 10am from out-of-town normally check in isn't until 3pm. We were pleased that we were accommodated. Room 1-10 being clean I give it a 7. We were out all day / and didn't return to our room until 11pm once we pulled into the parking lot, we noticed individuals outside the hotel clearly, they were not guest. This is a concern as we had our granddaughter with us. I know this is out of the control of the hotel but just bringing it to customer awareness (be aware of your surroundings). Once we got into the hotel there were loud guests (kids) you could hear them throughout the halls, so this was difficult when sleeping. Good thing we didn't come back earlier looks like after talking to other guest who did TRY and go swimming. Those loud guest were drinking and smoking weed (marijuana) and no accountability. :( Fire alarm was pulled not once but 5 times throughout the night. Fire Department was there twice. My husband and other guest were talking to the front desk clerk. Basically, there was no fire and the reason why alarm kept going off was due to a person who kept going out of the emergency door. Either way we got no sleep had a 3-hour drive in the morning and when asked if we could get our money back, we were told "Our Manager said that if we left at 12 mind-night we could be refunded" Where were we to go :( in the middle of the night .......I know this is out of the control from the hotel. You never know what type of guest you will in-take. HOWEVER, this was also out of customer's control. If you want returning customers, (Manager) please be more understanding ....... we would have even been pleased with a...
