Being a Hilton member, I find it somewhat disappointing that the staff at this location are not only a little rude not very hospitable if you are of a Particular Race. From the moment that my family & I attempted to check in, I was told by the front desk clerk that I didn't have any reservations & I had been mistaken. She said I was probably mistaken and confused this hotel with the competition located across the street. I then informed the young lady that she was in fact mistaken & I urged her to look again. She then found the reservation, yet never apologized for her error. On the day my family & I checked out, looking at my bill I discovered the room rate was the regular rate and not the reduced rate I was given for the reservation. Once again I had to point out the young woman's error & requested to speak to the manager. The desk clerk ( young woman)then left front counter to speak with manager in her office.After a full fifteen minutes they both emerged from the back office. The manager then said that the error was taken care of and correction would show up on my credit card bill with a refund of the over charged amount. Once again I never received an apology for their error. Three weeks later I received my refund on my credit card. In all my times of staying at a Hilton brand hotel or their competition I never experienced such a nonchalant attitude....not even in the South where prejudice is somewhat seen right out in the open! The only difference seems to be in the North instead of receiving frowns it is all replaced with a forced smile & an attempt to ignore you!! One thing is for sure... you'll never see me at this particular Hilton...
Read moreLast night I stayed here. I travel often and stay at plenty of Hilton properties, I seriously need to join the Hilton Honors membership come to think of it. Well I chose this location bc it seemed to have decent reviews. The rooms were just as nice as expected, but I am taking the time out of my day to leave this compliment for the two front desk associates. I must say Samaria and Jackie are some of the best representation a company can have in the hospitality industry. I specialize in business development and finding professional, pleasant, eager to help employees who are very informative are hard to come by. I was looking for a nice place to relax that’s outside of my room, Samaria and Jackie were pleased to greet me once I came down and took time out to show me the courtyard where there is a fire pit and couches. They were so kind to turn it on for me and I was able to truly enjoy the evening spent chatting and networking. This truly made my stay, a special Thank You goes to Samaria and Jackie for making that experience happen. I will definitely be staying there again. I hope you guys remember me bc I sure will not forget your hospitality and professionalism, delighted to meet you both. Read moreI was on a work trip that ended up extending a day. My previous hotel had booked up before I could get a room and didn’t offer any alternatives. A friend recommended the Hilton Suites and while the closest location also had no rooms, I was set up with a reservation at the Homewood Suited by Hilton in Ronkonkoma. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Sabrina at the Front Desk. Sabrina had such an air of professionalism while being completely welcoming and explaining the amenities of the hotel. She knew all the information back to front, and offered several answers to my questions. After I had entered and seen my suite, which was beautiful and spacious and cozy, I found myself at the Front Desk again, picking up items from the amazing setup of snacks and quick meals. Sabrina was at the desk again. I told her how impressed I was with the suite and how my previous hotel, while slightly cheaper, seemed to lack something. Sabrina made a great point of saying how sometimes it’s that little bit extra that makes things flow and work better for your stay. I truthfully think that something extra was a great personable experience with someone welcoming me to a place to stay after long work and an unexpected extra day.
