Today I stopped by Right Coast Taqueria’s food truck because they’re one of the only places on Long Island with decent birria tacos. Not because they’re very good but because they’re decent. Although, I am vegetarian and I spoke with the owner of Right Coast Taqueria about my restrictions. From my understanding I ordered the birria tacos no meat (odd request but I had this at Right Coast Deer Park and they were fantastic!), nachos, and Harvest Burrito. When I came home from this sort of long trip, there was meat in the tacos (which I thought was a mistake), nachos that I had to put together myself (which I understand why but who wants to put together their own nachos?), and a dry Harvest Burrito. When I called to fix my order the girl who picked up the phone was quite cold and I had to ask for a refund rather than it being offered initially. Then spoke to the owner again who became just as cold when I told him about the issue and he gloated that he never would change the birria tacos that has people waiting around the corner of the Deer Park location to get. I refrain from explaining that people wait around the corner for that location because, again, it’s the only place near that has okay birria tacos. It is unfortunate to see another restaurant disregarding the important dietary restrictions of their customers. P.S I should’ve gotten a refund for my entire order because I didn’t eat any of it.
Update: Your response here and to past customers shows enough about how you conduct business, I am choosing to digress because I should not be told to own my mistake as a customer when I am disappointed...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Right Coast Tacos
I recently visited Right Coast Tacos in Ronkonkoma, New York, to get dinner for my family with high hopes for a delicious meal. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon biting into my taco, I was shocked to discover a large lump of hair nestled within the filling. Needless to say, this was a major turn-off.
While the owner did offer a refund, their lack of willingness to address the issue in person or even examine the hair was disheartening. As a customer, I value professionalism and accountability, especially when it comes to matters of hygiene in food establishments. It's understandable that mistakes happen, and the occasional stray hair can be forgiven. However, the quantity and size of the hair I found suggested a more serious oversight in cleanliness and food preparation.
I believe that every business deserves a chance to rectify mistakes, but the handling of this situation fell short of my expectations. I hope that by sharing my experience, Right Coast Tacos will take steps to improve their hygiene practices and ensure that incidents like this are not repeated in the future. As much as I'd like to give them another chance, this experience has left a sour taste in my families mouth -...
Read moreI have been wanting to try this place since it is around the corner from our home so its super convenient, sent my husband over for some birria tacos, nachos and a burrito. My husband started asking questions since it was our first time so he was unsure of how everything comes, the guy gives him an attitude and the first thing he tells my husband is "next time order online," I mean just for some questions come on. Burritos don't come like the typical burritos, so my husband was confused. We are from queens and we definitely miss the food and the nice people out there, queens people definitely know how to treat their customers. The birria tacos were ok not bad for a place here in LI not a comparison to the food in queens of course. The nachos were not good to my opinion, I'm used to the real nachos with fresh cheese, refried beans, guacamole, fresh salsas and crema, lastly the burrito lacked flavor. I would just maybe come back for the birria tacos, and of course order online so I don't have to deal with the...
