Artemis — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I came here for cocktails with a friend and loved the experience! I couldn’t find it at first and I asked a group of people if they knew where it was. They happened to be going there and showed me the way. I like how it’s kind of hidden, which makes it feel a little more mysterious and exclusive. The girl that directed us into the front door was pleasant and friendly. When we walked into the front door, it’s like we stepped back in time to the 1920s. I appreciate how they made entering the building a fun and interactive experience. The speakeasy itself was beautifully decorated and they truly created a luxe atmosphere. From the crystal chandeliers, to the velvet wallpaper and leather bound menus, you know you are in a special place. The music was just right for the atmosphere. The waitress was great and our craft cocktails were delicious! I even loved the little details like the gold metal straw and the oversized ice cube in my drink. I love this place. It has a manhattan vibe and there are no windows so it could be light outside but it would still feel like night inside. Everything is executed perfect. The furniture, the lighting, the details, wallpaper, lighting, music, the entrance, etc. Major points for accepting reservations. The music they play sets a nice ambiance and isnt too low or too loud. The staff are welcoming and nice. The bartender even made me a custom drink based on spirit & flavor i liked and it was too good i had to order a few. We also tried the dirty martini, espresso martini, south of silence, margarita & verdant maiden. They were all amazing. Drinks are on the pricey side but no soda guns, fresh ingredients only. Beautiful space and a great addition to Station Yards. The drinks are all interesting combinations of juices and liquors that you’d be hard pressed to find at most bars on the island. The music, lighting and decor are the perfect mix for a date or other higher-end event, or even a relaxed late-night nightcap. They have a small menu for food, but the options sound good, and the others I was with enjoyed the tasting plate. My cocktail (Martinez) was unique, flavorful and strong, but well-balanced.
