Got a burger, cost me 5 bucks. It was small (3 oz.) and based on the size, shape, and lack of flavor it likely started out frozen. It looked like a regular hockey puck burger you would get at someone's backyard bbq who's too cheap to spring for bubba's or handmade. I honestly don't know how most of these other reviews found their burgers "juicy" or "flavorful". Maybe they were just so hungry after getting off the train that they actually convinced themselves it was good. They use Martin's potato rolls which are my favorite but there was more bun than burger. The meat didn't seem to have any seasoning because all I could taste were the slightly cooked onions. I was still hungry when I finished. Rather get a whopper for $5. Whopper has more flavor and is more filling. If it was a fresh handmade patty with seasoning I might be willing to pay 5 bucks for it. I bought a bottle of soda which was almost as much money as the burger. Probably won't be going back to try anything else.
After owner's response: 3 stars was GENEROUS. Sorry if I hurt your feelings "uncle" Mikey, lol. I'm good on the hug. I am brutally honest but I am not mean or cruel and take no pleasure in bringing anyone down, but thanks for reading my reviews. Obviously you skipped over the many reviews where I had positive things to say about many establishments. Nothing personal Mikey, I call em how I see em. Not trying to convince anybody of anything. This was MY experience. Anybody who enjoys paying $5 for a flavorless burger that's clearly not hand made, enjoy. I'm good on the double, triple, and 10 stack if you're charging $5 for a single that wouldn't fill a toddler's tummy. The only reason you do business is because of your location. Nobody would go out of their way for that burger if it wasn't right there in front of them when they get off the train hungry. I think you know that and that's why you're so defensive. I guarantee that if I did a blind taste test between your burger and a whopper your burger would get CRUSHED (and I don't even like whoppers). Maybe you can give everyone who walks in your whole explanation of your concept and menu before they order. I wish you all the best though! 😁 Nothing personal bud! Maybe add some seasoning and stop using small round patties that look like common stamped frozen patties. Also work on your responses to reviews. For a business owner you come off as a bit immature and you take things too personally. Maybe hire someone to do it for you. There were so many ways you could have responded that would have...
Read moreedit:// don't worry I never go back and I don't recommend you at all. You don't get to give people an attitude when they are requesting things to make it so they can ACTUALLY EAT IT AND NOT HAVE AN ALLERGIC REACTION. SO MAYBE REMEMBER WHEN PEOPLE ASK FOR THINGS OFF THEIR SANDWICH IT ACTUALLY CAN EFFECT THEM TO THE POINT OF GOING TO THE HOSPITAL. BUT PLEASE KEEP YOUR ATTITUDE. especially when I did reach out and ordered not once but two more times so each review is after EACH incident. but you didn't include that little aspect. because it makes you feel better doesn't it? trying to shame someone who kept trying to give you the benefit of the doubt even after being violently ill the first time.... but you do you since that's what you and your staff decide to do anyway for people who are ordering ---- I prefer not to be violently ill at lunch time. But cool cool.
First I would like to thank you for not once but three times ruining my lunch. If it was a one-off I wouldn't have wasted my time with a review. But I've joint ordered at work on 3 separate occasions and all 3 separate occasions you've managed to ruin my lunch.
I would like to let you know people have allergies. It's shocking, right? So when people put down specifications on their order and it comes with globs and globs of condiments not requested on their order you in effect make it no longer edible for the consumer. So not only do you provide incorrect product for the consumer, you ruin my lunch by making it inedible and door dash barely provides any type of refund for this.
So it would be great if your kitchen staff can read instructions since your entire business depends on getting the order correct they seem incapable. Again, this isn't the first or second but this was the third time they have managed to ruin my lunch and rendering me with nothing to eat until I leave work for dinner. So thanks for ruining multiple...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but I was so disappointed with this place that I felt compelled to do so this time. After checking the reviews I was quite shocked to see all the positive ones, given my meal quality. Especially for a place like this in NY. This was my first time trying this place, and it will be my last.
To start, the staff was very friendly and the place seemed decently clean, so no issues there. The problem was the food. Wow, no nice way to put it, but it was terrible. I had the standard hamburger and a hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut. That’s it, and both were shockingly disappointing. Hamburger was incredibly bland, tasted like boiled meat with no seasoning(probably steamed like White Castle, the worst of the fast food burgers) with a mushy, soggy bun. The only “taste” was from the high amount of chopped onion, which did nothing to help the burger. And chopped pickles? Really? Who puts chopped pickles on a burger? Easily one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had.
Then, the hotdog. It was not all beef and had that awful crunchy skin, and it tasted bland. Terrible combination with the gross crunchy texture of the skin. With again, a soggy, mushy bun. How is it consistently that bad? Probably the worst hotdog I’ve ever had. Would have rather eaten a bowl of sauerkraut. It’s probably what the cheapest great value or similar brand crap hotdog you could buy from the supermarket is like.
Overall, even though it is “relatively”inexpensive, it is absolutely not worth it. They have the advantage of being right next to train station, getting business from people in a hurry, like I was. That is part of why I made this review, to inform others in my position to avoid this place and not make the same unlucky...
