We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Toast in Ronkonkoma Station Yards! My family of five, including two young kids, visited yesterday and were blown away, especially considering it was just their soft opening.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting with really cool, modern decor that adds a fun vibe to the meal. Our server, Flor, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and patient with our children, which made the whole experience even better.
As for the food—it was perfect! I had the corned beef hash with eggs, which was flavorful and cooked just right. My son loved his Belgian waffles topped with fresh fruit, and my daughter couldn’t have been happier with her cookie dough pancakes (which looked as good as they tasted!). My husband and older daughter both ordered the Three Ring Circus, with eggs, home fries, bacon, and pancakes. My daughter chose the cinnamon roll pancakes, and my husband picked the banana walnut pancakes —both were absolutely delicious.
What impressed me most was how smoothly everything ran. For a soft opening, the service was fast and organized, and all the food came out hot and perfectly prepared.
A special shoutout to Sonia, the general manager, who personally stopped by to welcome us. Her energy and passion for the restaurant were clear, and it made us feel like valued guests.
Overall, Toast Ronkonkoma has everything going for it: great food, excellent service, and an awesome atmosphere. I can already tell this will become a favorite spot in the area. Huge compliments to the entire team—you’re off to an amazing start! We’ll definitely...
Read moreThe place is new and very busy. Was put on the wait list and this was done wonderfully. We waited about 10 minutes when we got there for our table The hosts are extremely organized and have a great system going. Once we said it our table though things would change We waited over 15 minutes for a server to come over and acknowledge us. We saw her helping other tables and she was busy The only thing she would have had to say is you know I'm really busy and I'll be with you as soon as I can not having me have to go to the hostess and ask why no one was helping us. She took our order in order to drinks bar drinks and they took close to 20 minutes to get out We could actually see them sitting at the bar. Then she comes over with a can of beer and asks if my husband would like glass. I've been to many restaurants not many of them have canned beer without offering a glass. Sounds like a small thing but I had a espresso martini and just coming back from a trip to Italy espresso martinis are supposed to have three coffee beans there was about eight on top of my drink like they were just thrown in. When the food did come out it was very good can't complain about the food. The service was just very very slow and our waitress was extremely inexperienced and overwhelmed. It's a shame but due to the service we won't be going back to this toast in ronkonkoma will continue to go to the one...
Read moreI was so excited when I heard Toast was opening another location in Ronkonkoma. I've been going to Toast for years and I always try to go when I visit home. I was a bit disappointed with our dining experience at the new location this past Sunday sadly. I'm not sure if there were problems with the A/C system, but it was so hot and stuffy inside the restaurant, making it very uncomfortable. Our waitress Maria was very nice, but our food took forever to come out and I have a feeling it was forgotten in the food warmer because the plates were piping hot. It was a bit odd though because the restaurant was not busy at all. In fact, most of the servers were just messing around behind the bar prepping drink mixes and others were just hanging out around the corner near the restrooms. It was so hard to find someone to flag down, my husband wasn't able to order more food and we just gave up and asked for the check when we could finally get someone's attention. I am hoping these are just little kinks that need to be worked out since it is still a new location. It seemed like the tables on both sides of us also had some issues with the service as well. Otherwise, the food was...
