Budget Inn Farmington — Hotel in Town of Farmington

"Pet friendly" means small dogs only. No large dogs, or any other types of animals, including cats (More below, if you're interested).

Room was clean, included coffee, two queen beds only, no option for king size bed. Fridge and microwave were nice. No smoke smell, which is important for me.

No continental breakfast. Comfort Inn next door has breakfast, but absolutely no pets, according to their website. I didn't call them to check, so I wouldn't know how flexible they were with this.

The service woman was nice and able to contact management which helped in a pinch at 11:30pm.

I booked online at 10:45pm without calling ahead about the cat. They charged the credit card for the first room; this was non-refundable. For the second room, I posted a note about the cat. They didn't charge this room on the card. When we got there (all six of us, ranging from age 3 to age 62, plus one cat), we were told they didn't allow cats, and we would be minus $110 if our party included a feline. As my husband and I were still in bed this morning (at 9:30 am) there was a knock on our door. Before my husband could get up and to the door, our door was open. Thankfully we had the chain on. When we checked out, I verified that checkout was at 11 am and asked the property's process for letting cleaning staff know when a room was vacant and ready to be cleaned. The answer was if there is no car outside the door and the key had been turned in. I said, well, here's our key and our car was parked right outside the door. Oh, I'm sorry was the reaction. No compensation offered. I will say the room was large and clean but I feel still a bit expensive as there are no extras. No breakfast. When I was halfway through my shower this morning the water decreased significantly and I finished my shower in a small stream of water. I wouldn't waste my money here again. I stayed here the night of Sept 17th and I received a King bed. I wasn't sure about the hotel at first but I was pleasantly surprised! The room was very spacious, had a flat screen TV (which I was surprised to see), a microwave, coffee maker and a mini fridge. The room is extremely clean as usually when you wipe the bottom of your feet after a shower before putting socks on there is dirt that falls off, there wasn't any! The front desk clerk was extremely nice. I stayed again Sept 19th to the 22nd and I got another King bed (just happened to be the room next to the one I had previously had) and it was just as nice.
