I have a friend nearby that I visit several times a year and this is where I always stay. I actually had to stay for 10 days last year due to having Covid, so I quarantined in my room and was so comfortable and was able to rest in peace and quiet. Sometimes my trips are last minute and I never have trouble booking a room. The 11:00 check out time is great vs. 10am because that works out perfectly with the flight I usually take. All of the times I’ve stayed here the staff have been so friendly and kind. I am always greeted when I come in the door. The coffee and continental breakfast is nice and basic. The lobby and main entrance area is nice- tables to work at, comfy couches for when I am hanging out, waiting for my transportation. Every part of the hotel is always impeccably clean (I am very OCD about that). I took a bath when I stayed the last time and I never do that at hotels. The fridge and kitchen area is great- fridge is a good size for bringing your own food and drinks (that was really good when I was sick). This is the first hotel I stayed at in the Wyndham group and started my rewards account so that I was able to accumulate points to stay elsewhere. Read moreHORRIBLE! We checked in at about 4 o’clock. Put our stuff in our room, went across the hall to get ice, and went back to the room. My key worked fine, but somehow the deadbolt from inside the room had flipped. So we couldn’t get in our room. There was ONE staff member in the hotel. Maintenance had gone home, and wasn’t answering his phone. We graciously went to dinner, gave him 3 hours to fix it. We got back and still couldn’t get in. He still had no idea what to do. Still couldn’t reach maintenance. The manager refused to come help and was rude and mad at us for now being upset. We called 911, and had to have the police and fire department come get in the room for us, so my mother could get her medication, not to mention my purse and everything else. The manager instructed the staff member to tell us WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO STAY THERE!!!! After all that, the firemen getting in, with no damage I might add, WE HAD TO LEAVE! A brand new hotel! Read moreGiven the reviews, I was expecting a better experience. When we arrived, the room was ready and they considered our requests. So we had a good first impression. However, when we arrived at the room the garbage pails had trash in them from, I suppose the previous guests. Then, the next day, when we arrived, we were surprised to find that there had been no housekeeping. The trash pails were still with trash, and the beds were unmade. When I asked reception if housekeeping was not part of the service, they explained that only after 3 days they are doing housekeeping unless requested. But none of this was communicated at check-in nor were there any signs in the room about it. They did have signs about the towels so why wouldn't they communicate their housekeeping policies? When I complained to the hotel, they asked if no one had told us. No apologies whatsoever.
