I stopped here for the first time today. To get a cone. There was a family ahead of me in in line with two adults and three tween age children. Each person in the family had a specific order for a combo meal with specific toppings and the way they wanted it cook etc. . It was taking a very long time for them to all order. From my viewpoint, there was only one person working. And it appears the whole of the restaurant, including the kitchen, is open to view. The worker never acknowledged me . In the meantime several other people came in and lined up behind me I had waited approximately 5 to 7 minutes in line, and I finally caught on that the girl taking the order was probably going to step back and cook all of these meals before she would get to taking care of me, so I turned to all of the people behind me in line, and I said, "good luck," and I walked out. This is obviously not the fault of the girl that was working. But the fault of management for poor staffing. While I was waiting in lane, I was looking at the menu board. In my opinion, the prices of the combo meals and the other food offered is very high. Combo meals are 14.99 and above.. The family in front of me was going to pay sixty five or seventy dollars for a hamburg hot dog experience. Tables were not cleaned and the atmosphere is not very welcoming. I won't be...
Read moreUnacceptable garbage plate. Terrible meat sauce. Or rather "meat crumble." Unorganized service. Get it for here or to-go it comes in a to-go container. Unseasoned tasteless home fires that comes soggy even when asked for extra crispy. Mac salad is bland and too wet. A pool of liquid was at the bottom of my plate in the to-go container, God knows from what. Small burger patties. A coworker of mine asked for Italian sausage and reported back "it was boiled." Its just terrible. If you're going to get the good people of Farmington excited for a "Farmington Hots" spot... and deliver the utmost unforfilling plate in the finger lakeside region... You should be ran out of town. Small portions and over pricing will do that naturally though, I suppose. Not a fan, tried 3 times in the past few weeks they've been open, disappointed more and more each time. Clearly they use store bought canned baked beans. There is no love put into the mac salad. The meat sauce is honestly a disgrace. Its not that "meat sauce" is something to be proud of as a region, but its all the Rochester area has as a culinary classic, and by any means of the standard towards every other plate spot, my god has this Farmington Hots dropped the ball. Don't get too use to them. They won't be around long.
The kids liked...
Read moreFood was ready when I arrived, and the young man at the register was on point—great service. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was rough; it was hotter inside than outside. No AC or fan in sight—felt like a sauna. As for the food, it didn’t justify the price. The meat sauce was bland and lacked depth. The mac salad? Just mayo and noodles—no seasoning, no onion, nothing to bring it to life. If you're charging premium prices, the food needs to deliver—or you might be looking at a "for sale" sign soon. That said, the home fries were solid. But the bag had a leak—some sort of brown sauce or water that ended up all over the table. Not great. Want a challenge? Try the meat sauce for yourself. If you're brave, I’ve got a mac salad version too. But the real highlight? Smash burgers with plates, might give you edge as well. meat sauce: 1 medium onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, diced or pressed through a garlic press 1 teaspoon oil 1 pound ground beef 1 cup water ¼ cup tomato paste 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon chili powder ½ teaspoon ground cumin ½ teaspoon allspice ¼ teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon...
