I took the 45 minute drive to go to the Finger Lakes coffee house in Farmington for the 1st. time. I wanted to buy some of their Holiday Coffee Blends for Christmas gifts and inquiry about “Cold Brew” coffee’s. A tall/thin grayish haired guy started to serve me, and as I inquired about any specials and cold brew he became obnoxiously rude… yelling at me (first time customer that only asked a couple question) I was completely embarrassed. He then asked a young lady behind the counter to wait on me as he walked away with no apology. I wish I could remember the young lady‘s name but she was very kind answered all my questions ground the coffee that I bought for Christmas and my coffee to go just under $50 order. The older gray hair man that I believe was the manager went to one of the tables and started bagging up beans and weighing them. I decided I’d approach him and explain why I was inquiring about the coffee and he continued to work but did apologize for yelling at me without even looking at me (not sincere at all). Like that’s good for Business!

Read moreI recently visited this coffee shop, attracted by the promise of holiday drink specials and a cozy atmosphere. However, I was taken aback by the display of a rainbow flag within the shop's decor. Personal political and social beliefs aside, I believe that a coffee shop should be a welcoming space that focuses on the service and products it offers rather than displaying symbols that may inadvertently communicate a sense of partisanship. My belief is that any establishment, especially those serving a diverse public, would benefit from maintaining neutrality to ensure that all customers feel equally welcomed and respected, regardless of their individual beliefs and values.
While the drinks offered were satisfactory, the ambiance did not align with my personal preferences for a neutral space where the focus is solely on the craft of coffee and the community it serves. As a result, I feel compelled to seek out other establishments that prioritize coffee and service above all else. It is with a heavy heart that I say I won't be returning to this...
Read moreI have been a customer of finger lakes coffee roasters from the beginning when my daughter worked at the store in Bushnell Basin. Your coffee beans are on sale on the 9th of each month, I usually call the day before to place my order, but today I called for todays sale, and a friendly lady took my call, after she took my order ,she asked me to call the day before for pickup on the 9th. I am not upset by that, what bothers me is that when I arrived to pick up my order 4 workers were not waiting on any customers, so when I gave my name they said there was a mixed-up and gave my order to someone else. Now I had to wait for my order to be filled.. Also I am not happy about you not using the punch cards for coffee beans. Thank you for listening to...
