What can I even say? I have never in my life been so disgusted, let down and disappointed by a hotel. Especially for over $300 a night. I could of went to a motel 6 and had a better experience. Initially we arrived to the hotel early because we tried to call and kept getting sent to voicemail. We wanted to request early check in but no one would answer the phone. We showed up around 11:30 and we're told to come back around 2:00 and we could check in early for 50$. We showed back up at 2:05 and the room was no ready. So we decided to sit in the lobby and the front desk receptionist told us he would let us know. We watched as countless guests checked in so eventually after over an hour, I went up to the desk to see if the room was ready. The receptionist said that it was but he did not know how to pronounce our last name so he did not want to call it out.... He could of walked up to us. We were sitting directly in front of him. We tried to take the elevator to the second floor. The elevator was tiny and did not even work.... We had to walk for what felt like miles to our room and when we got there, it was a king with a pull out for four guests. We booked a double queen. We called down and told them what happened and they told us nothing else was available. So why not tell us this before, instead of taking the liberty to change it themselves. Finally they found a room with two beds and transferred us over. On the way to the room again we had to walk what felt like miles and when I walked down the stairs, they were slippery so I fell down a few stairs and I rolled my ankle. We go to the room and the beds were doubles. Not suitable for four people but there apparently were no other options when we called down again. We entered the bathroom and the floor was SOAKED and the bathroom had a potent smell of mold and mildew. There was a white powder in a straight line on the bathroom counter... now I'm not a detective but I can only imagine what it was. But regardless of what the powder was it means that the counter was not cleaned. We ended up using our own Clorox wipes to wipe everything down and the once white wipe was BLACK. Disgusting. My friends pillow had what looked like a dried booger on it. There were hand prints all over the dressers and the air conditioner was loud and barley worked. There was also what looked like dried toilet paper ? On the supposedly clean shower wall?? I went down to the front desk to get an ice bag because there were none to be found in the room and I spoke with a different receptionist to request an ice bag. This receptionist was nice and did attempt to move our room but all the was available was a king. He ended up giving us free breakfast coupons and adjusting the rate to $199 which at the time I was fine with. We took showers and the tub would barley drain. We called an Uber and tried to leave at night and when we went to leave the door just would not lock.... I called down immediately and they sent an "engineer". The engineer swiped one card in the door and it immediately started working again. He blamed the fact that the door didn't work on JEWISH PEOPLE! The door was working ALL DAY!! Mind you, this was a Saturday night and the door was working all day! Shabbat starts Friday night at sundown and ends Saturday. So why would the door work all day and all of a sudden stop working? How dare he blame Jewish guests for the hotel's downfalls. The door was fixed quickly and we were able to lock our door. There were DEAD ROACHES in the hallways in the middle of the carpets an And the hotel had a smell of mold and essential oils? The next morning we were excited to at least try free breakfast because they had menus in the rooms and it looked very nice. Our group was eating and I opened a cream cheese and the entire inside was MOLD! I showed it to the host at the front of the and she told me to go speak to a manager. I walked to the front desk with the moldy cream cheese and the receptionist said there was no manager there! Never never again would...
Read moreMy husband and I went here for a few days after we got married. We splurged a little bit since it was a mini moon and wanted to spoil ourselves a little. ( well him since he had to put up with my bridal shenanigans) Once we arrived this past Monday, our room was 89 degrees and it faced a huge wall.. i thought being inna suite it would at least have a view of some trees or the grounds.... there was construction going on through out the hotel and outside which dis not make things easy...We tried to set the thermostat down to 70 and went to the front desk. We explained that the room was very warm and asked to have someone look at it as we were going to grab something to eat. We arrived back to our room a few hours later and our room was still warm but at least not as warm. It was 75. My husband went to get a shower ( we got the suite with the jacuzzi tub and the steam/overhead shower with jets) and the jets and the steam did not work. It was very late at night, so I said I would just let the desk know in the morning. The next morning, I went to get to a bath and there was no hot water. We went to the front desk at 8:30 am and explained what was going on and told them we were going out to walk around Sleepy Hallow for a few hours and would be back after lunch and they said they would have someone go and take a look. We had actually got the bed and breakfast option, don’t waste your money. It is a separate menu, and it has a list of 5 things, some of it was tasty but there are no meat options at all. We got back to the hotel at 2pm, and I checked in to see if they checked our room… NOPE!!! So, now my husband and I just wanted to go take an nap because it rained all morning and we were walking around in it (yes totally our fault) but now we had to wait for the maintenance crew to come and look at our room. The tub was an easy fix, the boiler blew out, but the shower was not able to be fixed at all. Then while using the restroom, we run out of toilet paper and there is none in the bathroom. Like none stored in the cabinets or anywhere. Then at 5pm, they came to service the room…. Wait, I am still not done…. Then as my husband is using the bathroom, it sounds like a freight train is coming through the bathroom wall ( no it wasn’t him, we would be rich if he could make noises like that) that lasted for minutes. It literally woke me out of a dead sleep. I did go to the font desk a few times, and I should have made them change our room, but I just wanted us to enjoy our time and not have to move rooms. I was so excited to stay at this hotel. I was looking forward to it for months and it was just a major disappointment. We should have checked out the first night but I was just to exhausted to do anything. The lobby is beautiful and it is only a 2 mile drive to Sleepy Hallow ( with traffic it is a 15 minute drive). The desk did take a percentage off one nights stay but in my opinion, I don’t think that was the best they could do considering all the issues that happened and the room we splugged on was not cheap, and the amenities is the reason we splurged...
Read moreI delivered a door dash order to your hotel whom was delivered for Jennifer 04/12/2024 approx between 7:30-8:00pm if I am not mistaken. The order was handed off to a gentleman at the front desk. This gentleman was approx 5’7-5’8 in height and light skin complexion with curly hair. I would say he was possibly African American or Hispanic decent. The gentleman that I handed the order to asked me if I needed to take a picture of the order. I informed him that I did not because there was an option for me to choose handed to customer. I just logged into DoorDash to begin working and received notification that I did not deliver the order. At this point I contacted back your hotel just now and Jennifer was the one to surprisingly answer the phone. I requested to speak with management and she informed me she was a manager. I asked her if I can speak to someone above her and she told me she could help. I asked Jennifer why she would report an order missing inaccurate when in fact I delivered it directly to the front desk and verified to the gentleman she was a worker there. Jennifer claimed that she reached back out to door dash right away to report the order as found and she couldn’t believe that I called the hotel to ask her this and disconnected the line. Today to find out that Jennifer is apart of your management team ordering from platforms to your place of business is insane. At this point to know that a manager working for your place of business can conduct herself in such manner or to have any employee that is not honest enough for as simple as a door dash order goes to show a persons character. To know that a person a part of your brand represents themselves in such manner shows a lack of culture amongst a business. The point of this message is to inform you of how something that someone feels is simple of reporting an order missing inaccurately can affect the individual who is delivering the order. I myself live off of 1099 work which is working from door dash platform and a few others. When customers report an order missing and that is not a fact the delivery person is affected and can be removed from the platform when they don’t have full pledge proof of delivery which would be pictures. Coming into the hotel and the surrounding area I trusted your staff by handing off an order with respect in hopes that they would hand it to the correct party. I am very baffled that this honestly happened on your premises...
