After 20+ I won't EVER be back. As so many others have stated below, I too, had my fair share of horrid experiences at this buisness. However, I live local so convenience is the ONLY reason I kept coming back. My last visit was horrid. I came in for a toasted bagel on wheat and got something else and overcharged and yelled at by staff to boot. Their "specialty sandwiches" which was renamed to "bagel sandwiches" so you don't get a soda with the deal and instead get an unbranded small water at a higher price. Then they will charge you $2 for L&T, lol. When I pay for my order a staff member begins to berade me with raised voice "you ordered a tuna melt but didnt get the cheese melted so you don't qualify for the bagel sandwich deal". I explained I prefer my sandwich cold. They never had an issue with me getting it cold in the past and shouldn't as melting cheese raises their cost for energy consumption and extra work by staff. The whole transaction was completely reduculous. Then she gets even more argumentative and charges me $2 for small amount of lettuce and two thin slices of tomatoes to make a point. Everyone around was shocked at the mistreatment including myself. Then I turn around to go sit and see the owner was standing behind me just overlooking the transaction and didn't bother to stop the mistreatment or intervene. Chosing to ignored this speaks volume to me and others standing there. There is a deli and pizza next door and a bunch of other options down the street with far better customer service. In my humble opinion, this place has always had horrible customer service. Additionally, the owner ignoring this mistreatment by his staff doesn't seem to care about his long standing customers. Good bye, my family and friends will NEVER be back. IMO, I can get better service just about anywhere else that wont yell and berate anyone or be ignored by the owner for not wanting my sandwich melted. HOW UTTERLY...
Read moreThis place satisfies me in more ways than just having an empty stomach. The food is always hot and fresh and the overall atmosphere is very comforting. Love the staff as they are always wholesome and they even remember the way I like my meal prepared. You can honestly feel the food is made with effort and not just slapping two pieces of toast together and “voilà!” The manager goes out of her way to make sure every single customer is treated with respect. I think her name is Courtney. I remember one particular incident, I was ordering my usual and she recalled it from memory... a lady came storming in shouting “there was a baby in an unattended van without the heat going”. I told her I wanted to help and she said if I were to step out of line and help the poor hysterical woman, Courtney would make sure my order was taken care of. Sure enough, I stepped out to assist the concerned woman. I’m came back inside and there my order was, readily prepared even with my usual chips and OJ. I didn’t Even have to ask. She thanked me for being a upstanding bystander. It’s always a pleasure when she’s there. I can tell she really knows how to run this business. I will be telling everyone about...

When it comes to pairing breakfast delights, few combinations can match the timeless duo of a bagel and coffee. Recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in this classic pair at Bagel Emporium at Tarrytown café, and the experience was nothing short of delightful.
The Bagel: The bagel was fresh, with a perfect balance of chewiness and crispness. The exterior had a slight crunch, leading to a soft, doughy interior that was satisfying with every bite. Topped with a generous spread of cream cheese, the bagel had just the right amount of tang and smoothness. The café offered a variety of flavors, from plain and sesame to more adventurous choices like blueberry and jalapeño cheddar, catering to both traditionalists and those seeking a bit of excitement.
The Coffee: The coffee was equally impressive. Brewed to perfection, it had a rich aroma that immediately awakened the senses. The flavor profile was robust without being overly bitter, with notes of chocolate and a hint of nuttiness.
My recent experience reaffirmed their place and I look forward to my next visit for another round of this...
