I was set to give this a 5 star review, UNTIL check out..that was my last straw.
To begin, hotel was very clean, comfortable and nice place overall to stay. They serve a mediocre breakfast, nothing fancy, but its breakfast with coffee and juice to get your day started. When we arrived at JFK, I called the front desk to get the free shuttle and was greeted by a rude front desk girl that asked me what gate we were coming out of..I didn't know off the top of my head, so I told her I would have to call her back. My husband called her back when we got outside and told her the gate, she then told him we were in the wrong area and needed to be at Arrivals, (she could have told me that 5 minutes ago, but she hung up as soon as I told her I would have to call her back with gate) We then hang up again and head to where she told us to go for pickup. We get picked up by a super nice guy and taken back to hotel where we are greeted by the ever so not friendly front desk young woman I assume we were dealing with on the phone. No manners whatsoever, no smile, no welcome, no thank you, nothing. I'm sure you get the point..so I wont go on. The next evening, my husband calls the front desk for some extra shampoos and asks if they have any water bottles, and is told "No, this isn't the Ritz Carlton"..A simple "No sir, we don't have water bottles" would have sufficed. The rest of the stay, we joked about that..yeah we are aware it wasn't the Ritz, that isn't what we were looking for. Our last night there, we call the front desk to reserve a shuttle for the next morning to the airport stating we need it at 10am. 10:00am ON THE DOT we walk out of the elevator the next morning, walk to the front desk to check out and there is no shuttle outside the window. I ask the guy behind the counter about the shuttle, and we are told it already left. I look at my phone and ask him when it left, it is only 10:01 and he rudely tells me 10:00 as scheduled. There was no shuttle that left at 10:00am, we would have seen it as we pulling out. He then tells us with no emotion the next shuttle is at 11:00am. UNREAL. People that deal with customer service need to be trained and versed on how to deal with the public. The only pleasant, friendly staff at this hotel was the guy that picked us up at the airport and the housekeepers. The front desk staff here are extremely rude, unprofessional and lack people skills. Sad cause I am such an easygoing person and always love to leave great reviews, but this was unpleasant and I wouldn't stay here again. It takes no skill to smile, to be nice, to say please and thank you. We travel to the area frequently, but that was our last stay at...
Read moreThis was a last minute decision to stay a night on our way to the beach which is about 10 minutes away! The first room we received was 205 or something like that once we get upstairs after waiting for the long elevator the maid was in the room which cleaned to us and said she wasn’t done and told us to go back downstairs to the front desk. The front desk staffer was nice and we were given another room 310. We had a hard time getting the door opened. My husband went to the front desk but seen one of the maids who helped us get in. (You have to put your back in to open it). The room was clean but the t.v. Is small, if you want to watch a bigger one that’s in the lounge area. When we got ready for a shower the water comes out sprinkling everywhere except where it should be. The shower head needs to be replaced. Then at 6:45 am on a Saturday morning someone was trying to get in our room, thank God we had the top latch on it. The front desk had given someone the room we were currently in and never updated it in the system. It is now 7:30 am and let’s just say I’m not going back to sleep. The AC is automatic and shuts off at 2 am that was also fun. We didn’t find out about breakfast until we made a call to the front desk. There’s...
Read moreDo not recommend (at least not for a hotel block). We went to check out this hotel on Saturday, 11/10/19, where we were greeted and shown the basic rooms, and was then told that Michelle would be in contact with me and will send me pictures of the wedding suite.
That following Wednesday, as I never heard anything, my mom went to see if Michelle was in, and she was told that she stepped out at the moment, but that Michelle had my contact info and she would call me within a hour or so.
Fast forward a couple of days, and I still hadn’t heard anything. I called and spoke with Rose, who was rude and extremely unhelpful. Of course, Michele was out again and unavailable to help me for the third time. When I spoke with Rose, she had he nerve to tell me that my mom should have come by earlier.
To this date I have not heard from a single person from this hotel. Michelle clearly can not handle this position, and Rose needs to learn how to communicate in a professional manner. We would have blocked of 25 rooms if they were available. No one called or emailed to tell me that there we no rooms available, instead, the ignored their roles as employees.
Highly disappointed and disgusted by the customer service I did...
