Chicc Hair Studio — Local services in Town of Islip

What an awesome surprise. I rushed in to Chicc Hair Studio after work, because of a last minute business trip I was taking to review Scores Atlantic City, at the Trump Taj. A lot of times I let my hair go way too long. I expected to walk into this random hair salon, and get "cleaned up" a bit.

I was completely amazed when I entered this "Manhattan" salon in the middle of Suffolk County.

The staff, under the direction of Owner Sal Colmone, was amazing, courteous, and wow, the color Michelle Cordero achieved on my Asian hair blew me away.

The chairs!!!!! The chairs at the hair washing stations are heavenly! Better than any spa or salon I have been to. The chairs recline, and have foot rests, and are so ergonomic, that I felt like I was floating on a cloud.

This salon raises the bar of expectation for all Suffolk County spas and salons. They are active members of the community. Unlike a lot of salons who just make YOU LOOK classy . . . CHICC HAIR STUDIO IS classy. They care about their clients, and truly know how to make you feel that your time with them is a special time for you.

Worst Haircut of my Life

The place is nice. The folks working there are nice. But, in my 20+ years of paying for my own haircuts, this place gave me the Worst Haircut of my Life. The incompetent hairstylist did not know how to properly do a fade. Instead of telling me she did not know, she proceeded to screwup my hair. The manager had to step in and take over, but it was too late.

I would not recommend a place where incompetent people are hired.

My daughter and I went to Chicc to have our hair styled and our make up done for my sons wedding. We are not from the area and booked there because of the reviews. We had an amazing experience beginning with Felicia setting up our appointments and making it all work with our time frame to Beth and Brie who did a fabulous job with our hair and to Alisha who made us both look amazing!!
