Delayed but awesome service review from couple of spots I visited in last 10 days....
Chickys Queens Clay Oven Zaiqa Halal Chai Chenak Restaurant Texas Chicken and Burgers Martha's Country Bakery Choopan Grill Selden Duck Donuts
Am going to try to cut it short....
Chickys one year anniversary was something I didn’t wanted to miss.. Went late but still got our free sandwiches and bought other stuff to support a true gentleman Asad Bajwa. He puts his heart into his business and knows how to treat a customer. He is also going to get me started with my Keto Diet.
Clay Oven is my favorite out East spot since Lubna Habibi knows the true hospitality and we always feel so welcomed. Amazing fresh food served within minutes! Never waited more than 20 minutes on the table. Her Naan is the bomb.. 🔥
Zaiqa Halal in Selden Ny is under new management and the owner is Abdul Bhai who also puts his heart into his business. Best Spicy Chicken Sandwich you guys can ever have with Masala Fries.
Texas Chciken & Burger in Centereach is not my favorite service spot however their food is okay. Something is better nothing at 2am lol
Chai Chenak in NJ is also a great spot however it’s far. I would recommend people to drive down from LI bcz I know it’s worth it. Their Chicken Charsi Karai, Lacha Paratha and Falooda is on point. Owner name is Khizer and is also a gem to sit and chat with lol
Choopan in Selden is under new management and food is great, Am sure you guys will love it. Food is much better now and he is also working on new menu pricing to bring it down to attract new customers. Definitely give it a shot. Owner name is Khawaja, very nice and humble guy.
Martha’s is always my favorite go-to spot for coffee & dessert.
Duck donuts in Selden recently opened and I think they are little over priced but their donuts are fresh and you can ask them to make it your way which is unique. Service is really good 👏
Here is few pics from these...
Read moreA Truly Unforgettable (for all the wrong reasons) Experience My recent visit to this clay oven was, without a doubt, one of the most frustrating and utterly unprofessional dining experiences I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. While I usually enjoy their chicken sandwich, this time, my family's order of tandoori chicken was an absolute disaster. From the moment it arrived, the tandoori chicken reeked and not in the "deliciously smoky" way you'd expect from a clay oven. No, this was the unmistakable stench of old, spoiled meat. One bite confirmed our fears; it tasted as putrid as it smelled. Politely attempting to address the issue with the cashier proved to be an exercise in futility and an introduction to an astonishing level of customer service ineptitude. Instead of listening to our legitimate complaint, he immediately jumped to the conclusion that we were trying to return food because we had "ordered too much." Let me be clear: this was an outright lie and a ridiculous assumption. We simply wanted edible food. He stubbornly refused to take the offending chicken back, insisting it was "fresh" (a claim utterly contradicted by our senses). His accusatory tone and baseless accusations escalated to the point where he actually called the police on us all because we dared to complain about rancid food. The entire encounter was an infuriating display of unprofessionalism. This cashier, instead of doing his job, transformed into an assuming, lying, and thoroughly unpleasant individual. We paid what we believed was fair for the edible portions of our meal and left, utterly disgusted. Save yourself the headache and the risk of a police encounter over spoiled poultry. Unless you enjoy being accused, disrespected, and served questionable food, I strongly advise taking your...

Once direct by Restaurant and the other by Amex onsite. Everything about this restaurant gives me concern for customers. I do not recommend this place at all.
Anyone who may follows and or know me, will tell you I try to spin positives. Especially with my restaurant reviews because I know how hard it is to satisfy all customers. However Clay Oven really gave me nothing to work from. To start, I tried placing order online for takeout and thought I was successful but while picking up food the cashier cancelled my transaction and rang it up again which technically placed two transactions on my credit card. He told me not to order online and call next time. Strange to have website capable of ordering and tell customer to not use.
Now the food and final to my negative review. My order was: Chicken Tikki Marsala, Vegetable fried rice and Naan. The Chicken was a bit rubbery with an un-inspiring sauce. Fortunately the white rice and Naan were decent. The Veg. Fried Rice was horrible.. The vegetables in rice all seemed like they came from a bag of frozen supermarket bit that were freezer burned. Whats worse is I bit into an olive or something that had a pit which nearly busted a tooth.
Sadly, I will not give this place a second shot and will not recommend. ...
