To clarify my extended stay was because of the function i was attending in Port Wash. I am the one who is saddened to hear that most people who visited your hotel are treated kindly whch i was not how I was treated by Steve, and you know that, Below was not at all a accurate recollection yes I am sure there was laughing so good for future guest to know "no laughing after 9:40 PM". which was when we were told in a nasty abrupt tone to leave. 4 of the guest were paying customers! A simple admission of being wrong goes a long way. Extremely uncomfortable experience. Rooms are clean with a decent location. My issue was with the owner Steve who for some reason felt it was within his right to speak to me from the first night with the most disrespectful manner i have encountered in a hotel stay. I had rented 2 rooms paying $1000, per night but was made to feel so uncomfortable from day 1 that it ruined my stay. There is a cordial way to speak to your customers that is typically something those in the hospitality business are familiar with, a shame Steve has not grasped this. I will say both times I was approached with his ill mannered demeanor there was a weird aploogy after in a text after the first night, then as I was packing my car to leave. You already ruined my experience at your hotel at this point so really not sure what you were trying to accomplish here? Perhaps preventing me from sharing the truth of my experience on sites like this? Unfortunately that did not work, as I said you ruined my 3 day stay mutliple times with your rude manner. My last night having two couples over where we did nothing but sit on deck to chat and to be approached in the manner we were was absolutely disgusting and a shame for you as both couples were planning stays at your hotel which they quickly dismissed that idea after their encounter with you. Imagine 3 adult couples chatting on a deck on a Saturday night at 9:30 being told they need to immediately leave! In a tone that left everyone speachless and me mortified. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care by the owners Steve and Cindie. The level of customer service provided was truly outstanding. They were not only attentive and professional but also displayed a genuine willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist created a welcoming and comforting environment throughout our stay.
The hotel's amenities were equally impressive. The breakfast provided was not just your typical continental breakfast but a variety of freshly-baked bagels and pastries from the local bakery, personally picked-up by Steve and Cindie. The attention to detail and quality of the food were remarkable. Additionally, the coffee/snack bar was a delightful touch, offering a wide selection of beverages and refreshments to enjoy throughout the day. The highlight, however, was the stunning view from the hotel's bay-facing balcony. It provided a picturesque backdrop that enhanced the overall experience, leaving us in awe of the natural beauty surrounding the property. Imagine having a cup of coffee or tea while with a gorgeous view of the water!
I cannot praise Steve and Cindie enough for their commitment to providing a truly exceptional guest experience. Every aspect of our stay was carefully thought out and executed to perfection. Their dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction is evident in every interaction, making it clear that they genuinely care about their guests' comfort and enjoyment.

Read moreI don't usually write reviews, but had to publicly thank Steve and Cindie for the wonderful stay at the beautiful Fathoms Hotel & Marina. This is our second time staying at Fathoms. First time was in June for our son's graduation with our family. They treated our whole, occasionally motley crew, like welcomed friends. What an amazing experience! So amazing, when a favorite artist was playing at the Landmark Theatre in downtown Port Washington, we had to make the trip with special anticipation of staying at Fathoms again. We love a good luxury hotel and Fathoms ranks at the top of our list! Every detail is thought through so thoroughly and with such exquisite taste. From the Molton Brown toiletries, comfy robes, to sheets, towels and pillows so luxurious I had to ask where they get them, to the always available snacks, coffee and sodas, delicious breakfast pastry of your choice from the local bakery, then add impeccable furnishings to include a super cozy bed... We didn't want to leave! I haven't even mentioned the stunning views of Manhasset Harbour (see attached photos) or the fact that you can get to Grand Central Station in NYC on the Long Island Railroad in 47 minutes. Fathoms is a true gem and has set Port Washington as a get away destination for us (& we live in Florida!).
