Meadowbrook Motor Lodge — Hotel in Town of Oyster Bay

This place started out nice.... but it went left on stay 7. The night before we checked in and I called the guy ahead of time at the counter and said we would looking for 1 night over night stay ( which I always did no problem), I get there FINALLY😨and he asked hey you just called I said yes and can I please have my usual room usual stay he said yes. So I pay as always night goes by we wake up in the morning, I go outside to warm the car up come back in the phone rings, now there is a new person at the counter some lady saying ( you didn’t pay for a overnight and that we had to either get out or pay) So I told her yes I did pay for a overnight like I always do when I drive 30-45 min away from my house in bayshore li. If I didn’t why didn’t we get a call after the time was up for us to leave if I didn’t pay for a overnight. So she says the guy said you didn’t pay for over night I’m like WHAT YALL ARE KIDDING ME RIGHT? So long story short I went cleaned my car off and her she comes around the corner saying are you gonna pay I said of course not I paid last night she says well that’s ok your not allowed on the property again. Which was fine for me because I could go to my own house, our if I decide to have a good night out then I’ll book closer than coming out there for rude...

There are two men who work here who are very nice . I book here frequently but the last few times I booked I ran into some issues . For one I am the easiest person to deal with , anytime there was an issue I politely addressed it and even would add in that it wasn’t a big deal ( just wanted to bring it to light for other guest ) . However I was rudely told that I did not have to stay there if I didn’t like it . Now I am confused because who in their right mind would like cold water to shower and paying for a room just to get to the motel and get a completely different room than you PAID for ? Correct me if I’m wrong but I think these are issues that need to be addressed at any motel/hotel. I understand I don’t “ HAVE “ to stay there but due to my situation I don’t have a choice . It would just be nice to be treated like a paying customer and not just like we are staying here for free . Definitely won’t go back after this stay and wouldn’t recommend staying here if you can avoid it by any means . Higher up Staff doesn’t care what condition the rooms are in they are just...

Small bathrooms. Small garbages and if you leave garbage in your room like food boxes (even neatly left on the dresser-because their garbages are too small to fit anything in and there is only one) they threaten to not let you stay there. I was a very frequent guest who would stay many nights in a row and am so thankful I don't have to anymore. The staff is unfriendly and very unaccomodating. Their is also very limited parking especially at night and the spots are very small and I have a big car. I parked next to a hatch and went over it a little bit so that hopefully my car didn't get banged by another car door and the employee in the office came barging out of the office and told me I had to fix my car. Like really?! Why does she care? I wish I had gotten her name because this was also the unfriendliest customer service person EVER! The only thing favorable about that place is the Jacuzzi room where the Jacuzzi is shaped...
