Jericho Cider Mill — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I hate to write a bad review for a small business. But I don't feel it is right for this business to continue operating under the conditions and quality of food they are selling. I spent about $65 in food a from this place a few weeks ago. I bought a banana cream pie, medium roast coffee, raspberry donuts, and spicy salsa. First off the banana cream pie was old. The crust was soggy and falling apart as if it were sitting in a fridge for at least a week or 2. The second issue with the pie is that is had a STRONG chemical taste to it as if they added banana flavoring to plain cream. I am 100% sure there were no use of real bananas in it. Disgusting! I highly doubt it was homemade too. My experience actually aligns with what others have said about the pies being old and having MOLD. The raspberry donuts are old, stale, and dried out. Also, I'm pretty sure they make nothing they sell and just purchase from third party businesses and resell mediocre goods. Coffee wasn't bad. But then again they put a giant sticker over the bag to probably cover up for the fact that they repackage from other facilities and sell off as their own. I'm surprised this place doesn't have health violations for selling...

It is Friday, September 15, and I am cooking for guests coming over tonight to celebrate the new year. I am writing this review today since I just received the Apple cider. I can make my Apple Cider Brisket for tonight‘s dinner only because of Jericho Cider Mill. I just needed to send a shout-out to everyone there who assisted in getting this package to me. We love your Apple Cider.

I have been a customer of JERICHO Cider Mill for over two decades. I know you don’t ship, but thank you so much for assisting and sending this to me.

I have tried other apple cider‘s, but they are different.

Carrie was so kind to assist me in getting my gallon shipped to me. Not only did he ship it out to me, but he froze it, insulated it, and then checked to see if I received it. Above and beyond.

On another note, to overnight to Vegas, the post office wanted $198.00 for shipping, and yet I could go onto Shipping Easy to get a label for overnight for $74. Carrie printed the label, placed it on the box, and shipped it to me—the best $74.00 I ever spent.

Bought a pie two days before Christmas and it was completely full of mold on Christmas Day. I called to let them know - was not seeking a refund or being rude about it, mistakes happen. Just wanted them to be aware (note: my family buys pies here for almost every holiday and this was a first). My complaint is regarding their customer service because they basically called me a liar when I told them about the mold. The woman on the phone said their pies stay fresh for five days and there’s no way my pie could have been moldy. The woman then left the phone to speak to the manager and came back and told me that he agrees that my “story” is “impossible to believe.” I offered to send pictures of the large blanket of mold covering the entire inside of the pie and they said please do. I also sent proof of the date of purchase to show that only two days had passed. Hours later they responded to my email and said “we apologize. Come in anytime and we’ll take care if you.” An apology for calling me a liar would have been nice. I would not be writing this review had that not happened. Very unkind...
