July 19, 2025. I had a room we paid for a deluxe family suite when we arrived. The attendant was a bit rude. The lobby was empty, but he really told us to wait a moment when we got in our room we dropped our bags and headed to the beach. When we got back, we had the opportunity to actually look at our rooms and check them out. Start to get comfortable. We noticed peeling Wallpaper throughout the room. And we’re not going to complain. Much later in the evening, I went to use the spa bathtub and discovered a package of soap opened and already used. I obviously was not comfortable Nor confident that it was cleaned at all, so I did not use it. In the morning when attempting to use the pool area as soon as we entered, we discovered mold all over the floor compromise ceiling beam, black, mold on the ceiling, along with many cracks and brakes on the floor with caution signs everywhere. Black mold is very poisonous when inhaled so we immediately left the pool room and I went to the attendant and was given an email. I emailed them did not receive a response within 24 hours as they stated I would so I called the establishment and again was told there is no manager on the premises. I asked when there will be a manager on the premises and I wasn’t informed that they are not generally on the premises and only periodically come in. This entire building is a complete health code violation. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else unless you would like to get an infection

Our stay at the Clarion Inn was generally positive. The staff was welcoming, and we had booked two rooms, both of which were clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was satisfying, with options like omelets, waffles, bread, bagels, butter, muffins, cereals, juices, milk, and coffee, which kept us full until lunch. As a vegetarian, I didn't pay much attention to the non-vegetarian items. The only slight downside was that the fruits (oranges and apples) could have been a bit fresher. Breakfast was available from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and coffee was always available in the lobby throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The indoor swimming pool, along with the jacuzzi, was open until 10 PM, adding to the pleasant experience. Additionally, the hotel offered plenty of free parking for cars, and the free WiFi, while not the fastest, provided a moderate speed of 10-12 Mbps, which was sufficient for basic needs. However, the only significant issue we encountered was with the room service. Despite staying for three nights and leaving our rooms early each day around 10:30 AM, our rooms were never cleaned. They did offer fresh towels, but the lack of room cleaning was disappointing and could certainly be improved. On the bright side, the hotel's location was convenient, with a Starbucks and other outlets within walking distance.

$300/night and no baggage cart. Run down appearance. Two of the three TV’s in my suite didn’t work, and they were all super cheap models where the audio was indecipherable. The ice machine didn’t work. Had to call down to the front desk to request a bath mat to keep from falling in the shower. The furniture was cheap and worn. The wallpaper was separating from the wall. The room and even the halls smelled bad. I was told when I checked in that my debit card was just going to be run to have it on file and wouldn’t be charged until I checked out. I planned to use a different card to clear the bill, but found the original card was immediately charged for the total amount. When housekeeping came to make up the room after the second night, I found the bed wasn’t made, but there was a note saying they weren’t allowed to touch the bed if there was any private property on it. There was a cell phone power cord stretched across the bed! For forty years I traveled three nights a week for business, and I’ve never come across the likes of this place, especially not for an $885 tab for three nights! I’ve been vacationing in Lake George, NY, every year for 25 years. My usual hotel, Canoe Island Inn, has changed hands and is no longer open. I had been looking for a new place to call home in LG, but I’ll never go back to the Clarion there. I’m very active on a number of Facebook sites for hobbyists who frequent Lake George for the motorcycle rally, the car show, and outdoor concerts, but I’ll be sure to warn people to stay away...

Let me start by saying we’ve been coming to this hotel for 15 years and have watched its decline.

This nightmare started with the deadbolt on the door only working if you lift the door by the handle and force it. The screen door was jammed and off the track. The hair dryer smoked and had to be unplugged so it wouldn’t go on fire.

Woke up in the morning to someone trying to get in the room. He unlocked the deadbolt (which should have been a dead giveaway someone was in the room) and was only delayed by the latch. He said he was there to paint the bathroom. We had a 3 night reservation that was booked well in advance! It’s a terrifying way to wake up.

AC was so loud when compressor turns on it startles you awake. There were shampoo remnants on the shower wall, and the tub drains very slowly and fills as you shower. There is no daily cleaning service, fresh towels, toilet paper, or garbage removal.

Unbelievably, there was no manager onsite the entire stay and even though we asked numerous times to have the manager call, no one ever did.

The phone didn’t work, there was mold on the walls, wallpaper was peeling, and the carpet was dirty.

The only thing that got resolved was getting a new hairdryer a day later (they had no extra/backups).

There were kids and people screaming in the hall past 11pm but the desk said there’s no security and nothing they could do about it.

There were multiple times no one was at the front desk and you had to call to try to find someone.
