While the hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, I feel I have to give it three stars due to a less-than-ideal experience during our stay over Memorial Day weekend. Despite booking through the hotel's website, upon arrival we were informed that our reserved double queen room was no longer available due to system issues. The front desk staff member was unhelpful, unresponsive with attitude, leaving us waiting for two hours without any resolution. It wasn't until another coworker intervened that we were finally able to get situated in our room, a process that took nearly three hours. While I understand that one staff member may have just been having a bad day, their negative attitude and lack of consideration had a significant impact on our overall experience. It's a shame, as the hotel itself has many interesting features and is well-maintained. However, the importance of kind, patient customer service cannot be overstated, especially for weary travelers who have just completed a long journey. On another note, the hotel appears ill-equipped to handle an influx of guests. We waited an hour for additional blankets and towels. While the following morning, nearly half of the breakfast items were unavailable. I don't intend to be overly critical, but in addition to improving customer service, better planning and organization could significantly enhance their guests' experience. If things get hectic and out of hand, accepting the challenge, acknowledging any shortcomings, and apologizing for failing to provide the services for which travelers have paid, would be a step in the right direction.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now in the last year. Both times have been super great. In November 2022, we booked a room at a motel on the Hopi reservation and they dropped the ball on our reservation so we ended up calling Moenkopi at 9:30PM right before thanksgiving. We were greeted warmly and welcomed even after our last minute late check in. June 2023 was a great stay and the staff was friendly and kind. Ryan P. Checked us in, they were efficient and communicated well. We got to enjoy the pool this time around. It was clean, not freezing, and had a place for us to sit and have shade under the umbrella. Breakfast was great! Rooms were cool, clean and comfortable. This hotel is worth the long drive to Hopi for my family. We are too accustom to running water and electricity. Since I’m an enrolled member of the Hopi tribe I did get a discounted rate both of these visits. So if you are enrolled be sure to ask for the discounted rate. I don’t really have any complaints about this hotel and plan on staying here in the future. Close to gas stations, a Denny’s next door, Bashas grocery store and quite a bit of fast food options close by.

I’m a truck driver and needed a place to hang out for my 10 hour break. I called this place about the parking and They offered parking for 10 bucks showed up very friendly employees. They have a bathroom that you could use. It’s very clean and there’s a Denny’s within walking distance. The parking lot is really small can only fit probably, four or five semi comfortably more than that then you’ll probably be running over things to get out also if you have an RV it’s a great place to park you could probably just spend the night in your RV also it’s a relatively quiet place because not many people know about it. so it’s a great place to disappear for 10 hours. Also, I asked them if they rented a room for a few hours so that you could jump in and take a shower and it was a no you have to rent the room for the entire night, but I don’t know might be worth it looks like a nice hotel.

The experience was disappointing. I was looking forward to my stay because I like to support native-run businesses as much as I can and because the architecture is interesting. I had been operating on Navajo reservation time all day and so when I went to check-in it was close to 3:00pm-or so I presumed. However, when you cross 160 to Moenkopi you lose an hour in literally like 10 seconds! So to the front desk it was closer to 2:00pm. And they were completely inflexible in letting me into my room early. 3:00pm or bust. The previous day at a Marriott in Page I was allowed into my room at 1:45pm.

The next morning I went for run. That was a miserable experience in of itself because of all the stray dogs chasing me (that's a town problem-not a hotel problem though). I came back all sweaty and in need of a shower. But there was no hot water! I called down to the front desk and was told to wait for twenty minutes. I waited 40 minutes and there was still no hot water. I called the front desk again and asked to use a shower in a room where there was hot water. The front desk guy told me to come down and he would help me (his words). I came down and then he said he couldn't help me! What the hell?!!

I asked to speak to the manager. In the meantime I checked the water again. Still no hot water. It had been over a hour since I was told to wait "20 minutes." When I met her she apologized. I asked for a refund. She said she could offer 20% off. While I wanted to argue the point I didn't want to cause anymore of a scene than I already had done. I was pretty livid.

Bottom line? It pains to say this but choose a chain lodging elsewhere. This...

My experience with this hotel was bad. I would not come back and would not recommend for anyone to stay here. The Internet is extremely slow and it takes 1 min to open a web page not to mention if you need to log in and check flights, emails etc But this is where is the main frustration come. At the time of check in their card system read was not working (Internet issue) properly. I got the keys from the room and after about 20 min got a call from a front desk to come back and provide the card again. I had to leave my family and go to front desk and provide the card again. Also TV was not working in a room and I reported it to front desk and was told to “click red button to power on the box”. Obviously that did not make tv work. I left it alone. Then at 5am, Five !!! The phone ring at the room and wake my my wife and kids up. It was Ryan saying that previous shift had issues with internet and did not get my card and I need to get him card again. This at 5 am !! We came to this hotel to rest. And 5 am call woke everyone up. My family did not rest and next day was ruined really, with cranky kids it was bad. The problem the hotel have with internet is not my problem and I should have allowed to rest and Then this matter to be addressed. Or note on a door or at the check out. Anyway to handle this without disturbing customers rest. But Ryan did not care. Called front desk next day to report the matter and “manager is not available at a time” even to take a complaint. Bad experience here I woudl suggest to...
