Island Shore Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Upper Township

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Picked up food given wrong order did not realize until I was 1/2 way home. Turned around to return food, when arriving back they could not locate my credit card receipt that I had just signed. After 10 minutes of searching I asked them to please just get my food add up the wrong order and charge me the difference. I also neglected to mention the wrong order leaked all over me and my car. Then I had to wait another 10 mins for my food. In the meantime a handicapped woman got her food I assisted her to her car and her food also leaked all over me. When finally getting my food the owner Chef Allen told me the original order was 57.00 I told him that is not correct I was charged 58 and change. The customer food who I got then comes up to pay and he charges her $58 and change I said are you kidding. He took a dollar and threw at me. If my family was not starving at this point I would have walked. Finally got my food no shock leaked in my car and order was incorrect. This place came up as the closest Chinese food and had decent reviews, so I gave them a try tonight; will probably not go there again. I called to place my order, was told to wait, and then got disconnected; strike one. I called again and placed my order and was told that their credit card machine was down and they would have preferred cash, or they could call their other location to run my card; strike two. I ordered a hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, and cold sesame noodles with chicken; the hot and sour soup was the only thing that was decent. The cold sesame noodles didn't have chicken, but was topped with some tomatoes and celery salad; strike three. The scallion pancakes didn't have a lot of scallions and came out too crispy, from the outside to the inside; strike four(?). I got the Sizzling Seafood Platter, it was absolutely delicious. Needed salt, but I'd rather put it on my self than have them over salt it anyway. Their Beef and Broccoli is great, aswell as the Egg rolls. The shrimp balls and fries is another great order. Basically everything I've ordered from there in the past few years has been great. They switched the Shrimp toast to the Shrimp balls. But it's just as good if not better. I've never eaten inside. (Always gotten take-out) I definitely recommend this place. Best Chinese Food in Capemay County in my opinion. Their portions are good sized aswell. Enjoy your meal! Heads up! Their Egg rolls do have shrimp in them.
