Mattress Firm 100th St. — Hotel in Urbandale

We've unfortunately had a bad experience starting when we made our purchase in 2019 and up until April 2022. I don't remember the salesman that helped us, but they had dark hair and glasses. Either way, we bought a $600 mattress and the space saver bedframe. The salesman made a big deal about the bedframe never squeaking. Ours did as soon as it was assembled (by the mattress people that delivered it). On top of this, after a year, our mattress had really bad divets and impressions on the top (we couldn't flip it, it was one sided). I'd never seen such divets in a mattress in such a short period of time, and as a result, my husband and I developed a lot of back pain sleeping on it. After 2 years, we had to ditch the mattress because of how bad it was at that point. We kept the squeaky bedframe, but by 2021 when we went to move, it was bent on one piece. Granted, I'm a larger person, but I've never BENT a bedframe my entire life. We thought it could potentially be fine, but this past April, it finally broke in several pieces and was rendered useless. Very disappointed with experience at this store as well as Ankeny store. Wife and I on search for mattress and stopped in this store since we had purchased our original one at store in coralville. Long story short, John who I’ve been Told is store manager stated he had our original mattress “lost in inventory, never sold” he would sell us. We were so excited. But it was to good to be true, we took delivery of a used that’s right used dirty mattress! They did make right and refund us our money. Reason I’m doing this review is bc My wife and I have yet to receive and apology from the so called store manager, who sold it and have been told repeatedly when calling he’s not there. This tell me we were intentionally hustled at this location, destroying trust in the mattress firm stores. As far as Ankeny store they guy working complained about having to get up from his desk when I arrived to pickup and acted as if he was to good to even place hand on mattress to help load so I had do by my self while he stood...

Prior to browsing the 100th st showroom, I checked out Mattress Firm website & found one that'll fit my needs (hybrid that provides comfort for side sleepers who tosses & turns throughout the night due to pressure points and bad posture. Luckily, there was a showmodel available to test out before committing to purchasing. Upon arrival, Tom was ready and willing to assist me w/ my first choice as well as compare it to other mattresses that were w/in my budget. I decided to go w/ my 1st choice,which is a TOP SELLER which includrs the 120 day trial & price match, then added the 5 yr warranty, removal & disposal of old mattress/box-spring, and set up of new mattress w/ free adjustable frame was under $700.
