I had been looking for the perfect mattresses for myself and my kids for well over a year. It was sooooo overdue. Never finding the “perfect match” and always avoiding “sales/commission” stuff, just because I was SO confused on what was good versus marketing and stuff. I just felt like online searches and some bigger stores (always great people), but it made me confused on what mattress our best sleep needed versus just sales and marketing. It’s a BIG DECISION and definitely not cheap. Last week, I randomly realized “hey, there’s a mattress place kind of close to the house, let’s check it out”. I honestly had NO idea that I would walk in there and boom find a perfect match. We went in, experienced customer service and knowledge that just went ABOVEEE AND BEYOND. Like times a thousand. I made some decisions, laid on some beds and finally said “this is the ONE 😅” requested an estimate/invoice, and went home to talk and do some research on the company and the brands/items we had picked. A few days later, we went in and ordered. Everyone in the house getting AMAZING mattresses and adjustable bases. Through all of that, walking in the first time (meeting a gentleman that was NOT pushy at all, super cool and down to earth, super knowledgeable, did NOT push sales but rather a good nights sleep. He was patient.), to going back in (and dealing with another guy named Micheal that was as cool as the first guy), to them delivering our beds by the next afternoon (like what?!), and then to the two guys that did the delivery. We didn’t have to worry about a thing and they were absolutely great to work with. Everyone was just absolutely above and beyond through the whole experience. I have some happy kids (that definitely needed the bigger beds) and I’m excited as well!! Before the delivery guys arrived, I had a certain expectation considering I have ordered multiple mattresses from a competitor of Midwest Mattress (this is reviewers wife writing this review, as I do not have a Google account). With prior experience, I expected them to deliver the mattress without much consideration to my home. From the first contact, I had with these delivery guys, they immediately asked if it was okay if they had their shoes on. Something that may seem so small, meant the world to me. Before loading the delivery into the house, they assessed the prior mattress, box spring, and room to make sure they were handing the situation appropriately. After carefully handling my prior setup, they set up the adjustable base. They took great care to the furniture around the base and while setting up the adjustable base, they provided education on how it functions. With no personal knowledge of these bases, they explained in a simple, yet effective way and not once did they make me feel idiotic. They provided great detail on how my mattress would "fluff" after a few days, as this was a concern of mine. We shopped at the store on 100th in Urbandale and had a great experience. Ryan, the store manager, assisted my husband and I in looking through options within our price range and our different comfort levels. We didn’t end up buying a mattress that day but felt absolutely no pressure in making a decision right then. He was patient and informative and gave us literature on our interests.

We looked at a few other stores for comparison in options and pricing and felt that our best option was to go with our gut and choose Mid-West Mattress!

When we came back a few days later we were assisted by Mike and he was just as professional and patient as Ryan. He answered all our questions and helped us discuss pricing and options to ensure we made the most informed choice.

We had two great experiences in person at the store!

We just received our delivery for our mattress today. Both of the delivery drivers, Dave and Rex, were polite and super accommodating in getting our bed setup just the way we needed it. They were great at educating us on setup questions we had as well! Setup was organized and efficient.
