Loved all the amenities at our disposal including the racquet ball court, gym, steam room, sauna, game room, and pools. Theres a calendar of events which, when I was there, included a beer tasting, wine and cheese tasting, and smoothie bar. The complementary bus into town was also fantastic. You grab your gear and go! Short drive to the lifts and gondolas. It's really convenient to have the snowboarding and ski rental facility in the main building too. The bus has spots for the gear by the way. The desk staff weren't overly welcoming and warm but they were not rude either. So that's whatever. The room itself was quite nice and roomy, enough so for a few people to relax comfortably. The pull out couch was surprisingly nice to sleep on and the main bedrooms bed was super plush. I really think the full kitchen is super nice for longer stays. Now you can meal plan your stay with the shuttles sometimes running to the local grocery store. I will say, I'm glad they had a portable humidifier in the room, I really needed it being from Florida. Our room had two TV's, a balcony and a fireplace, which were super nice to utilize. Two bathrooms made it a breeze to get ready in the morning. 4 people would be fine in a room here. I really enjoyed my stay. The ski lockers are located at the bottom of this building so you can grab and go straight to the shuttle, which goes into town to the lifts. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. EXCEPT (there's always one thing)... the construction happening the floor above us. We were told about this upon arrival. But it was suppose to be between certain hours only. However, almost everyday, without fail, the workers were early and very loud. This woke us up eariler than we intended and I'm already not a morning person. Kind of a bummer when you're on vacation. Bad for me... But what's good for you is hopefully it'll be renovated and new when you're thinking of staying here. That's a plus! Would...
Read moreMy Mom is a Marriott Vacation Club member, which is why she picked this location for our family Easter trip. We had a situation where my ski flew off of the shuttle where it was not properly secured. I had my skis on the back of the shuttle, and when we arrived at the property, only one of my skis was there. The driver and I went back to look at the pick up location, to see if the missing ski was left behind. When we got back to the resort, my boyfriend and I looked up and down where the shuttle drove between the pick up and drop off spot. We found my ski propped up on a wood post on the side of the frontage road. Someone had saw it on the road, pulled over, picked it off the road, and propped it up. I did find there was damage on the ski and reported it to the front desk, and hoped I would receive compensation for the repairs as the damage was a result of falling off of the Marriott shuttle. I had to get my skis repaired at the shop, resulting in losing a ski day, and personal money on the repair. These were brand new skis and bindings and after communicating with Liberty Mutual, they denied my claim saying that Marriott was not responsible, and would not reimburse for the damages. The reason I write this review is because my Mom had reached out to the property GM directly, who said he would get back to her but never did. She had her own issues with a mouse in the condo and never received any acknowledgement of the situation or mine. Mistakes happen, but this is a big mistake and a very dangerous one that should be addressed. A ski flying off of a shuttle can cause serious damage and the outcome could have been much worse if the car behind us had not stopped before hitting the ski. I wish this property would acknowledge and apologize for the inconvenience that was caused, and I hope they learn from this, and look at the safety of their ski racks so this never...
Read moreWe visited this resort for the first time last week. We arrived very late in the evening. Neelie was the person at the desk. We had absolutely the worst customer service we have ever received. She was horribly rude to us. At first she didn't even come out of the back room to greet us, she just yelled. She complained the entire time about having to give us the key. She was terribly inconvenienced and told us it wasn't her job to check us in. She didn't even give us directions to our room, which was quite tricky to find. We ended up leaving the building and going out and driving around to find it, only to discover that we could have gotten there from the building we checked in at. The next morning, we complained to the manager and he did not want to hear our complaint. He even cut us off while we were sharing our concerns. The whole situation was really difficult to comprehend. She told us she has worked for the Marriott for 24 years. Unbelievable. We left feeling harrassed and darn near bullied. We will be taking our business elsewhere the next time we are in the area. We were later told that this is a regular occurrence with this particular...
