On Thursday Oct 25th late in the evening I had coffee and biscuits with sausage gravy at this waffle house. It was delicious, although they were stingy with the coffee refills.
The next day, Friday Oct 26th, I had loose bowels in the morning but made no connection to my late night meal.
On Saturday, Oct 27th late in the evening I had coffee, a cheese omelette with hash browns, and sausage gravy on the hash browns. Again it was delicious. Again they were stingy with the coffee, to the point where I commented at the check out that I would have left a larger tip but they were too stingy with the coffee, getting a refill was like pulling teeth. Everyone was dressed up in Halloween gear, costumes having arrived while I was eating there. Maybe it distracted them from serving me more than a single coffee refill, I felt neglected.
On Sunday, Oct 28th, I woke up with the worst case of diarrhea I have had in years. It continued all day and half way through the following day, Monday. When I finally thought it was safe to try and go to work Monday afternoon, I found myself having to pull the car over and go crap in the ditch, had to come back home.
I lay in bed for most of a week, complete with fever and delerium, stomach cramps, and loose bowels. I couldn't even hold down my usual pills without throwing them up, and several ongoing health conditions got worse as a result. I finally got some strong anti-biotics and after the first couple days of taking them was able to get back on my feet a week after eating at Waffle House. It cost me a weeks worth of lost income to be so sick, and considerable suffering.
I will never trust this Waffle House again, I am convinced I got food poisoning there from the sausage gravy, having twice had problems with it in three or four days. I had been working lots of overtime those days, and had not stopped to eat other food on the second day, so it was easier to narrow down the culprit than usual. I believe the sausage gravy must not have been held at the correct temperature or disposed of after the correct amount of time, or perhaps its container was not properly cleaned before...
Read moreI just had the worst waffle house experience ever. I didnt even sit down to eat. I let my 6 year old play a song on the jukebox and it was her absolute favorite song. Although the song was a little alternative since it was a rock song, there was nothing wrong with it. No talking about drugs, sex, or curse words. And this waitress lady with nasty green highlights kept making a big deal about how horrible of a song choice it was and she kept joking with the other servers about turning it down cause it was so awful. She really hurt my 6 year olds feeling when the kept looking directly at us and laughing while talking about how bad her music taste was and why we even allowed her to play the song in the first place. So I left and I wont be returning. The song was Monster by skillet by the way for anyone wants to know. Store number was 1702. Maybe instead of worrying about my 6 years olds taste in music, she should worry about her terrible choice...
Read moreThe waitress was good but the food left something to be desired. I ordered smothered hashbrowns and over easy eggs i just asked the whites be done. I got eggs over almost hard. Hashbrowns with no onions, had to wait for my sausage...needless to say i was very disappointed. I noticed the manager cooked my food. She needs to go back to managing and let real cooks cook. I cook at a competing restraurant and i can tell you how to cook an egg the way i asked. My boyfriend ordered scrambled eggs...he got a slop of egg thrown on the grill and barely cooked. Guess this place is crossed off our list now. Too bad we used to like to treat ourselves sometimes to breakfast here but no more. Can't you do any better waffle house? Also, i can understand cook forgetting onions and sausage if it was busy, but we were the only order she had to cook. Get some new glasses or go back to your office please. Signed...
