I am a small business owner that believes in supporting other local businesses. Part of our business is a small store with convenience and gift items. I buy products from many places and use a retail tax id number, meaning we do not pay tax as we are reselling what we buy and pay the taxes when the product is sold. This is standard practice for anyone that resells.
Every time I have done business with this store the owner has always had a bit of an attitude, as if I was more of an inconvenience than anything. No, we do not place orders for 100’s of items at a time. We sell a wide range of things, and our store is a small part of our business. I may only need 12 of one item. Every time we purchase, I must remind them we have a tax id number and provided it more than once. Evidently, they do not put this in their records. When I mention it, there is always a look and a huff or sigh. Today when I went to pick up some hats that were embroidered, the girl went to ring them up and I said, you should have my tax id on file. She then called the owner told her I was there and that I said we don’t pay tax. As clear as day I heard the owner say, “Oh my GOD!” with total disgust in her tone. I told the girl working that I don’t need to have my embroidery done here if we are too much of a pain. We RESELL products. I promptly left, went down the road and spoke with another shop. I will never do business at Get Stitched again. I’m not trying to scam out of paying taxes. I’m 100% positive that when Get Stitched & Printed is ordering their shirts to print, they don’t pay taxes, because they resell them. That’s the purpose of a retail tax id number. The taxes are paid when we sell. I will never bother them with my small orders again or suggest my guests who are looking for “Bay” items go to this store. My measly amount may mean nothing to her, but if I was a betting person, I’m not the only one that has had the misfortune to deal with this attitude and it all adds up. So much for supporting small business. The two stars is because the work is decent. One star for the...
Read morePreviously I had left a good review. Recently I brought some pillow shams to be monogrammed.. We paid in advance for the work. After 7 weeks I felt like we had waited long enough for our shams to be completed. When I went to pick them up I was told that it was a real pain to do and they were not completed. Long story short, the one sham looked terrible and the other was even worse. When I spoke with the owner she said that she had to rip it all out and start over. After several weeks they still were not complete. I asked for a refund for the shams and the monogram. She wanted a receipt for the shams and I produced the transaction from my credit card. She said that wasn't good enough she wanted the actual receipt. I explained that she had them for almost 3 months and I had my credit card statement as proof. Anna then looked them up on the Company Store website and said they are on clearance. I told her when I bought them they were full price and again had my credit card receipt for proof. After a long and aggravating discussion with her I left. No refund and told her I don't know how she sleeps at night. I will NEVER go back. BEWARE!! SHE DOES NOT HAVE A...
Read moreVery disappointed. My husband placed an order a month ago for his company shirts. The order was placed for 20 large (14 white, 6 black), 9 x-large, & one youth small. When he picked up the order today, instead of the 9 x-large, he was given 9 youth large. When communicating this, he was told by the woman that it wasn’t her fault & that the handwriting on the order slip wasn’t her handwriting. Whoever DID write the order slip did a sloppy job & the “x” could indeed be mistaken for a “y,” but that is the responsibility of the store & its employees, not the customer who already paid $350. He was told they wouldn’t remake the shirts in the correct sizes, but they would offer a discount if he placed a NEW order & paid for MORE shirts. This is entirely unacceptable & unprofessional. We had high hopes for this business & were hoping to be return customers, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning; & until they adopt better customer service practices, can not recommend the business to anyone...
