This charming old home was lovingly restored by the hostess and her family, Amanda. They were only the third owners since the home was built and occupied by the original family. She took the time to personally greet us and satisfy my curiosity with a tour of the house and its history. The decor was carefully chosen to provide just the right welcoming and comfortable feel for her guests. Big fluffy towels and bathrobes were provided and everything, including the dazzling chandielers were sparklingly clean. Snacks, tea, coffee and water had been thoughtfully included. The room was quiet with a balcony overlooking the back garden, where I relaxed before bed, enjoying the sounds of crickets on this warm evening. Our hostess had recommended some local places for supper and a drink that were within easy walking distance which we enjoyed. Her breakfast was fresh and delicious, leaving us wishing we had room to squeeze in one more bite. She took the time to chat with us and make us feel like welcome guests in her home rather than customers. Amanda is a wonderful hostess and we would certainly stay again and recommend friends and family do so.

We stayed in the castle room. Such a cool experience! Everything was clean and neat, and the bed was super comfy! All the antiques throughout the inn made it feel like we were stepping back in time. The building had most of the original hardware and mouldings which added to the charm and character. Amanda was a very accommodating and gracious hostess as well as a fantastic breakfast chef! Food was served on beautiful antique china with elegant flatware. Will definitely stay again when we come back up this way. Thank you, Amanda, for a great stay!

I wish I could give this more stars! My husband and I just returned from an anniversary weekend getaway and we stayed in the Castle Room. We debated between that and the Honeymoon Suite, but the idea of such a fun theme appealed to us more. Still, the tour showed us that each room is special in its own way and we're looking forward to coming back and staying in other rooms to get the whole experience.

Jaws was AMAZING and was so kind and attentive. I have truly never felt so pampered! We love finding new places to stay in the area, but I don't think either of us can imagine ever staying anywhere else. Breakfast was lovely and we even were able to sit and relax around a fire outside in the evening.

And the downtown Waynesboro area has changed so much and there are so many neat small businesses to explore. Jaws should be making some money being an ambassador for the city because he told us all about the wonderful things that area had to offer. LOL! We tried food based on his recommendation and were not disappointed once.

This business also gives back to the community and my husband and I are so pleased to now spread the word to anyone who will listen why this place is special and needs to be on everyone's list of places to go for a break from life. Did I mention Jaws is one of the best innkeepers I've ever met? Anyway, can't...

Such a wonderful place! I came here for my anniversary and we got the honeymoon suite! The hot tub was amazing, the decor truly felt well thought out. The extra soft bed and fire place was a nice touch. Everything was spotless.

I spent a good amount of time in the library. It was a wonderful place to read and relax. The whole house is beautifully maintained.

The host, Jaws was excellent. He made an amazing breakfast every morning. I recommend the hash browns. They also served local coffee from Brio. A very high end blend. If you are interested in traveling the local area, Jaws is a highly knowledgeable concierge.

Heidi is one of the keepers of the property. She kept everything perfectly clean. Also on the property is a hound. Hannah is a very meek dog who is highly affectionate. I'm not a dog person myself, but I enjoyed being around this one!

I highly recommend this property to stay at if you are...
