Update:
I stopped in this place on New Year's Eve of 2023 (last day of 2023). It was my second visit. I knew they were going to close 2 hours earlier then they would normally since it was a holiday. My gf and I did get there later then we wanted to. We got there 15 minutes before closing. The 2 young girls at the counter did say before I ordered that they would be closing soon. I took that as they might not have time to make or have everything I might like to order. So I first asked for a coffee, then I noticed they had smoothies, so I asked if they had time to make that and that said yes, then I saw they had an acai bowl and I asked the same and they said yes. So I got a coffee and an acai bowl for me.
I did go outside briefly while waiting then came back and my acai bowl was on the table. I was starting to eat my acai bowl and a lady, who I thought actually was a customer as she was sitting at one of the tables said " just to let you know we closed". I didn't know exactly what she was getting to. My gf said I think they want us to leave. They close at 2 pm and on my phone which I was scrolling on as I was eating only said 2:02!!
So I carried my acai bowl outside to finish it. Actually I went into a nearby business and said we got kicked out of the coffee place and the lady there said " yes, they have been known to do that.
I'm no expert in business ethics but many times I went to a restaurant and they closed while I was still eating but I just assumed that if they offer a dine - in service that if they close while you are eating that it would surely be okay to finish your food inside their restaurant. I wouldn't think I was hampering their store closing efforts.
So, I do like I always do, I referred to a Q&A site to get their opinion and most of the comments even from restaurant managers/owners mostly agreed with my logic when asked if a restaurant can kick you out once they have closed but your still finishing their food!
From Quora:
"Yes we can. Hours of operation have ended, and the establishment is no longer open to the public.
However, most restaurants will let people who are already inside eating at closing time finish, so long as they don't take longer to finish, than it takes to complete the close, and most people do notice that the restaurant is closing, and hurry it up"
This is what my logic has always been.
If they did not want anyone to eat in their dinning area after closing then I think they should've said that once I ordered then I probably would've just gotten the coffee to go.
So, long story short don't get anything to eat (there anyway) the last half hour or so before closing. Once open you're a customer, once closed you're now it seems a nuisance.
First visit:
I didn't get anything you eat or drink here but my brother and sister did when we were here for our first time. It was right in the heart of Waynesboro and an old historic building. My sister said the coffee was good and my...

Stopped in this past Tuesday before work. I am very happy to have a place like this in town. However it seems rushed to open. The stained builder grade 2×4's make the counter area are extremely cheap looking and pastry selection was limited with no description of what anything was. Staff was friendly. Wide ordered an iced cafe macchiato and a latte macchiato came out. Cafe macchiato is your brew with a small splash of cream. Latte macchiato is layered with the coffee on top. New place learning the ropes so no big deal and My wife did enjoy it. I ordered a small cappuccino. The lady barista held the wand to deep in the milk to long. Not only did this burn the milk but the milk does not get the heavy froth that a cappuccino needs. While she scooped the minimal froth into the cup which gave it the proper weight the burn milk and extreme heat made it hard to enjoy. I got lunch down the street and after returning a half an hour later it was still scolding hot. I will return in the hopes they will improve and learn because Waynesboro needs a place like this but some training is needed and they need to improve the rushed look of the decor. ...

Whoever designed the interior has great taste! The coffee is delicious. I found my favorite combo in honey vanilla which was recommended to me by the owner I believe. The girls here are so friendly and really make sure your coffee is made well. My only complaint would be that it’s not convenient because it’s on the Main Street with just parallel parking and right at what I would consider the more busier intersection on the main st. I don’t think convenience was what they were aiming for though. Definitely has that meet your friends for a coffee date or work on something with your laptop vibe. I usually come here when I’m going for a walk or just having a...
