Sea Mist Resort Motel — Hotel in Wells

Im going to be nice because i dont want to be rude. We can up here from Massachusetts to wrap up the summer with our girls. Stayed on the second floor by the street. THE ROOM O THE ROOM. It was so small. Not spacious at all. As soon as you walk in you walk in to the dresser with a TV old VHS/DVD player. Right next to that a wooden table with 2 chairs that obviously need replacing. You can barely sit on the table or pull out the chairs because there is no room because the "kitchenette" is right there. Now the kitchenette had an old school microwave the was dirty. A moldy/dirty fridge. A full of crumbs toasted and dirty plates and cups. And a very small sink. Be prepared to bring your own dish soap and sponges and plates cups and utensils. O the coffee maker is so nasty. Its ok Dunkin is half a mile down the street. I mean its covid i dont share. Then there was a half wall. Behind the wall was a sink. And a door where the bathtub was and toilet. Toilet was broken had to flush over 5 time just to get urine and paper down the toilet. The bathtub curtain was so nasty and gross. Honestly i might take bleach bath when i get home to feel remotely clean. The bed smelled gross and there was hair there idk if it was from the previous people. The carpet had stains and dirty. Walls were dirty. Lamps, head board and decorations on wall dirty. Windows filled with spiders and dead flies.

Now outside my room. I was a lil upset with the strong aroma of cigarettes. People were obviously smoking in there rooms with the doors open so the fire alarms wont go off. Went to the park with both of my daughter had to leave immediately because of all the bugs and flies. See it is not smart to have a BBQ area next to the park because of all the food smell atracks the bugs.

Now yes the pools was ok. Its starts at I believe 3'6" and goes til 6' ish. Pool is small so it hot tub. Didnt go to there laundry room or gym.

Didnt deal with staff. Husband did.

NOW HOUSEKEEPING. First can I say i understand Covid is rough. I understand being short staffed. I get that the country is struggling. But to not clean rooms each day is crazy. At Least a quick vacuum or sweep or removal of trash. But NOPE. Each morning you are to make your own bed. Buy a vacuum or ask the office to assist. Clean and disinfect the bathroom and put the trash and dirty laundry outside. Then around 2pm they will put a bag of clean towels on a chair outside your room. Yes when you come they have lots of towels for you. Dont use them up the first night tho. Cause they dont replace all of them. Guys sanitation is key. Bring cleaning product guys. Bring your own shampoo conditioner toothpaste toothbrush. No they do not provide it.

Personally i will not be coming back. If i ever come to Maine i will have to spring more money and stay up the street at Hampton Inn. But definately...

Sea Mist Resort Motel Reception (Joan) welcomed us 2 hrs. prior to our normal check in time as our room was ready and that was a nice surprise.||ROOM/SERVICE: Room-103 was extremely clean and comfortable (we absolutely loved it). The beds were extremely. comfortable, having a kitchenette was a plus and the bathroom was very spacious. Housekeeping did an awesome job! One little issue was the mini fridge was not working properly and was not cooling anything we put in it; the next day while we were out all day, Dave in maintenance replaced the mini fridge and actually moved all of our items into the new one so when we came back to room all items were nice and cold (thank you, Dave)! The pool & hot tub were fabulous and was in a very nice pool house (clean and well kept with extended evening hours). We can't say enough good things about the Sea Mist Resort we are looking forward to next year already! My nephew (16) and niece (13) want to go back next year they enjoyed themselves so much and want to stay for a full week.||LOCATION: The location is wonderful if you are planning to do a lot in Wells, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, York and Kittery. If you are looking for more activities in the Saco, Scarborough, Portland, Cape Elizabeth areas it's a little bit of a drive. We very much enjoyed the area as it was out of the hustle bustle of Saco. Wells Beach was fantastic and literally down the road along with mini golf and go carting and of course great restaurants to choose from along with Big Daddy's Ice Cream shop.||CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK for IMPROVEMENTS: It would have been nice to have had from our door way an exit to the parking lot instead of having to walk all the way down the outside hall to the left or right to get out to the parking lot (especially when unpacking the vehicle upon arrival and packing vehicle to depart); numbered parking spaces associated with the room number would also have been nice so others do not park in front of your room.||Thank You, Sea Mist Resort Motel for making our vacation stay fabulous...
