Very nice, it's as though they took a large hotel and shrunk it down while still retaining the feel and esthetic of a full size big-city Hilton. This place is proof that it is absolutely possible to find smaller budget friendly lodging that still feels like an actual hotel. Because when you just need one to two nights, a big hotel with all the amenities is simply unnecessary. But at the same time, who wants cheesy lobbies, stained carpets, creaky floors, lousy coffee, noise, and a room that looks like it should have crime-scene tape stretched across the doorway? Whereas; at the Hilton Garden for about twenty bucks more per night you can get the full hotel experience; marbled lobby, (very) clean modern rooms, well carpeted hallways and all those little extras the budget lodging chains skip or cheap-out on, (for example, Neutrogena products suitable for those with sensitive skin.) And the view from the room consisted of relaxing trees (as opposed to a guy urinating in the parking lot...true story, fortunately his back was turned). Needless to say, I'll never stay at one of those other budget-ey Inn-type places again. From now on whenever I'm out of town for a few days (and even if it's out of the way) this is my place. I got a good night's sleep here. Which is very unusual, normally I sleep very poorly when I'm away from home.
Overall; a modern, well kept, well maintained, very well staffed, cheaper alternative to a high-rise hotel. Without giving up too much of the full-size / full-priced hotel experience.
And it's apparently not just me who noticed. When 128 readers of USA Today's "Road Warriors" (frequent business travelers) column were surveyed as to which mid-priced hotel was their favorite, Hilton Garden Inn received the most votes. The main reasons cited were "more spacious rooms" - "best breakfast" - "larger than usual breakfast menu" - "consistency" [throughout it's many locations] Another Hilton brand; Hampton Inn, also received high marks. And although; Fairfield Inn by Marriott did well in the survey, Hilton Garden Inn beat them pound for pound. And according to The American Customer Satisfaction Index, Hilton was rated at a score of 811 as opposed to Marriott’s score of 801. And Hilton's reward program also beat Marriott (and its other competitors) by a large margin. In fairness to Marriott however; some of the much newer Fairfield Inn's do have slightly better looking rooms, but you won't notice much of a difference. And I'm sure Hilton upgrades the rooms every few years.
Bottom line; Hilton has the highest customer satisfaction overall, and the best...
Read moreWesley Chapel, Florida is a very nice place to visit in Florida. As a developing city of 5-6 years you never get a sense of exhaustion due to an immense population. The city is still growing and you can see that by the proximity of every building. When it comes to places to stay during your visit to Wesley Chapel, Florida, Hilton Garden Inn is definitely the best kept secret in "New Tampa". Me and my dad first visit was beyond phenomenal. The employees that stood out were Shantel Jodeitt the manager of this establishment, Karina a breakfast waiter and Rhonda a house keeper. These employees at Hilton Garden Inn at Wesley Chapel, Florida were extraordinary and did everything they could to make sure our stay was nothing less than perfect. Rhonda the house keeper was the most kind person you would ever meet. She made sure we had coffee in hotel room, extra towels, and extra pillows when we asked for them. She even took the time to give us a tour around this establishment because we were lost. Karina an waiter also stood out as she told us what the 12.95 price included at breakfast. She refilled our water constantly, ask us if we had any questions about the menu. The breakfast was reasonably affordable. Each person was 12.95 and that included a self-serve buffet including juices, cereal, an assortment of breads, and a chef who made omelettes as well as french toast. We ordered about two omelettes each because why not. At the conclusion of our stay we were checked out by Shantel Jodeitt the manager who is an incredible asset to the Hilton brand. Jodeitt made sure our stay was exceptional and had a sense of knowledge of the amenities we could experience if we chose to return to the same hotel. The rooms were very clean and held two queen size beds with an optional pull-out bed inserted in a couch. The bathroom had the necessary options to take a shower or bath with an assortment of soaps and body washes. In the end this is an amazing hotel you should visit if you are in the Wesley Chapel area and also it is conveniently located...
Read moreI'm here now and overall this is a pretty good hotel and I travel for work. The reason I gave it 3/5 is due to the following-
Positives though- The hotel was clean. The little non restaurant staff interaction I did have was pretty positive and the water pressure was amazing and the bed was alright, pillows were nice.
All in all, I have about 5 trips to this area to make in the next 3 months and I hate to say it but I won't book this hotel due to the negatives. The water thing is #1 reason, breakfast is #2 because I don't have time to go out and stop somewhere usually. I'll have to look at the other hilton close by. I highly recommend you...
