I I usually go all the way to LOTTE to visit the pastry shop but I was very happy to know there was one much closer to my house. I came on a weekday mid afternoon and the place was busy with people coming in and out. As soon as you enter the smell of coffee and pastries fills your nostrils . You see the pastries up front to pick and choose from . You grab a tray paper and tongs and pick from their variety of sweet and salty items . You can then choose a cold item off the open fridge or make your way around and choose from their wide selection of macaroons. They also have cake slices or whole cakes you can buy. You can place an order for a special cake they do have a small area where you can sit down and eat your pastries. When you check out they do ask you if for here or to go- if you say for here they leave all the pastries on the tray and you just take the tray and find a spot to eat at, in my opinion they should place it on a plate or something if you choose to eat there and a box if you take it to go. They also have a variety of drinks from hot or cold, I ordered their special tiramisu latte thinking it would look like their picture especially since I ordered to eat there, to my surprise it came in a paper cup with a lid, so I didn’t get the “aesthetics “ of it. And it didn’t taste like tiramisu at all, more of just a caramel latte. The place is not “kid” friendly per se as there’s no high chairs available and the space is pretty small. I sat in the comfy chairs but had to lean over the entire time I ate my pastry. More of an adult meet up place to grab a coffee and a desert. They also offer cookies to buy at a whopping 7$ plus tax for a tiny 4oz container and to buy a 20 oz tumbler for $20 or a 20oz cup for $14, a little steep for my personal liking. All the pastries were delicious. Their customer service is a little lacking, while I understand that they are occupied, a friendly smile or welcoming voice makes the experience a much better one. I will be back for...
Read moreI absolutely love this bakery and their cakes. I used to go all the way to Lotte just for them, and I was thrilled when I found out they opened a location right across the street from me! Naturally, I decided to order two cakes for a special occasion because I had full confidence in the quality, size, and decoration of their cakes.
I went to the new bakery in person to place my order. The staff member who assisted me showed me the menu with the available options and sizes. I specifically ordered the largest cakes to ensure there would be enough for all the guests. I paid for the largest size and confirmed with her multiple times that the cakes would indeed be large, and she reassured me every time that they would.
On the day of the event, my husband picked up the cakes at the scheduled time. I didn’t see them initially, as I was busy preparing for my guests, and he placed them directly into the fridge. When I opened the boxes right before serving, I was deeply disappointed. One cake (the Cloud Cake) was incredibly small—despite my repeated confirmation that I needed the largest size and had paid for it as such. The other cake (Green Tea with Strawberry) looked as though it had been hastily thrown together—it was uneven and poorly assembled. While both cakes were the same height, their diameters were noticeably different.
I’m honestly at a loss. I still love their cakes, but this experience left a bad impression, and I’m really disappointed. Perhaps the new bakers at the new location are still adjusting to the process? If so, I’ll need to either give them more time, go back to the Lotte location, or start looking for...
Read moreAs soon as we walked in it was like we were interrupting them. There were about 8 staff trying to make a TikTok video just staring at us laughing. For our first time in not having any idea how it works, this was not the greeting we were expecting. We then chose our desserts and they have two different chocolate cakes which I also was unaware of. The cold brew tasted like watered down gas station coffee. The cake they brought to me had strawberries in it. I said is this the chocolate tuxedo she said “that’s what you ordered chocolate cloud cake” I said it has strawberries in it I thought I said tuxedo cake which she then replied “no”. I’ve worked in customer service for a long time and that was not how the situation should’ve been handled. We then taste the cake and it was dry. Over priced and disgusting food/beverages/atmosphere. Crumbs on all the tables. When asked if they had forks, they pointed and said over there. The workers continued to overflow the main area laughing and making everyone feel uncomfortable. The low reviews were right. This will be our first and...
