Normally when we go to a place that you do not know we search in Google map and I am not a person to judge by the stars and the comments I like to give the opportunity to explore the places. This place has only two stars and strong comments. When you have business or you are a businessman you have to be responsible because if we do not attend to it and keep it up to date, it falls on top of us and the clients leave us. When you arrive at the place you have a building in the entrance abandoned all the grass covering the entrance all dirty wooden edges wherever you want. Upon entering the room there was a bad smell of old stuff stank of cigarettes when I paid for a non-smoking room for my asthmatic daughter. When I smell the pillows, everything was like cigarettes, they talk to change the bathroom, the floor was stuffy, the bathtub was dirty and the toilet did not work, the small refrigerator had the whole area of the freezer with an ice ball on its walls we had to put the dryer of hair to melt the ice the cleaning man when he was of an angry and annoying attitude to change the bed clothes was dirty full of human hairs on top and the pillows all the bed linen reeked of cigarettes just clean the bathtub the floor I leave it dirty. When I take off my sandals and stand on the carpet my feet sank in water more than half the carpet was wet plus the refrigerator area also changed the fridge to the last and as the time passed on 2h it I hurt all the food that was cold the fridge never got cold. There were cockroaches the air conditioning did not want to work and check the filters and had as 2 "of dust to clean them and at least let them run the conditioned air.Talk with a cleaning to make scent spray and entered the room of bad Annoying way and she got a little over the top and left. The broken bathroom door could not be closed and the front door did not shut. The toilet you sit down and you want to break it sounds. As a summary of the place you get to clean. I was filtering and it was green and bad smelling. The stay in the hotel with my family was for the hurricane Florence when I go to the park in front the sewers covered with garbage, wooden boards with nails up that anyone could be I did not have too much irresponsibility, my stay was for 4 nights and I went to the next day, I know I have to give a star to be able to give my opinion, if it was not even for me, I am a person who travel a lot and I use hotels I do not like to criticize but it was such a critical situation that happened with my family that I would not go back there because the hotels were all without rooms available and I wanted one nearby. But you think before booking here. Finally I went out in the night and the host of the continuous room tells me that he had more than 6 hours without air conditioning in his room, it was 2 am and the man outside with his wife sitting. More to close with this opinion there was in a continuous room a prostitute 🤬🤬🤬🤬 if a prostitute and men entering there is a disrespect that a family place and for which they charged the night such a high price we have to endure until that there was a prostitute inside. The reality there will never return. Now the person you want to reserve goes first to the place and is sure that the place has changed. Here are pictures that the administrators put that are not from there the pool is small square and they have a picture with a big pool more in the front area it was all full of used condoms the place really...
Read moreWhere to begin... my husband, my 1 year old son, and I were traveling to Columbia for a spur of the moment getaway. The zoo, museums etc. just wanted to spend one night somewhere near the main attractions and not pay 200+ for a room. when we arrived at the hotel, which doesn’t seem to be in the nicest of neighborhoods if you know what I mean, the first thing we saw was a rusted out lawnmower chained to the front of the lobby entrance. Great first impression right? Adding to the atmosphere was a very run down abandoned building in the same lot- with at least one dumpster full of trash just littered around the area. (I realize not days inn problem, but still, doesn’t do well for business) We did arrive a little early to check in (my fault) but like most places I figured we could get in before 2 as the long as the room was vacant and cleaned. Nope. The front desk, although kind and not rude at all, didn’t even bother to check to see if the room was available. Just said “oh no, come back after 2 and it should be ready..” so off we went. Returned after 3 and it took about 15 mins to get checked in, and get our keys. Parking is a little limited but not terrible. It definitely doesn’t feel like a safe spot to leave anything of value in your car though. We had a little trouble getting into our room due to the card reader not wanting to work. It looked like it had seen it’s fair share of disgruntled customers or drunken angry men trying to get in. After we got our stuff in, we let our son take a nap and went back out for dinner. When we left, as soon as you opened the door it wreaked of weed! Looked like some of the inhabitants were “grilling out” near the picnic tables. 7.The room did SMELL CLEAN. that is the only positive of this trip. BUT it was not! There was moldy looking stuff on the AC unit, the “sofa” looked plasticky and had runs in the fabric, I’m sure the drapes/blinds have never been wiped down. There were water rings on the table, the carpet starting to come up near the door. Our fridge and microwave had remnants of the last guests food on them. The bathroom door was falling off the hinges to where it got stuck when trying to open and close. The clocks in the room had never been changed (a small thing I know, but come on, you’re running a hospitality business, and you should be in the room to clean relatively often, you have to see it). The batteries to the remote were literally taped in because goodness knows what happened to the back of that thing. The standing floor lamp didn’t work. The bed was an old spring bed, but the linens weren’t bad. The carpet, oh dear don’t get me started. I don’t think it’s ever been properly cleaned. I made everyone wear shoes or socks the whole time because it was GROSS! My son ran around at the end of the day and I literally considered throwing his socks away. Just dirty. There were short, course, black hairs on the carpet near the sink. I don’t want to know who or what part they came from. It was just all around an uncomfortable stay. Would not have stayed here...
Read moreWell first of all I booked this reservation with the mention that I was going to be an early check in (7-8am), I was told it was ok and that a room would be ready for me to check in to when I arrived. I worked the day of my trip and attended a function after work that didn’t end until 3am and then made my way to Columbia. Sad to say that when I got there I had no room waiting and the staff wasn’t willing to find a resolution. I was later greeted by a lady who said she was the head supervisor over house keeping and that she would make it her duty to make sure that my room was clean and ready for me at 2pm. Again I got there at 7-8 am but my room won’t be ready until 2 pm do u see a problem? This hotel made no attempts to accommodate or to understand my situation or even that I was super sleepy and exhausted. So after going from pillar to post I could finally check in. Mind you I have an appointment @ 2 that I wasn’t able to make on time due to the set back of this hotel and staff!!!
When I got into the room and I inspected it I saw there was poo poo spots on my sheets, a torn black belt under the bed, a yellow softball left by a softball team, 2 wash clothes still hanging on the shower rod, a broken shower rod, a filthy tub, filthy toilet, a beat in bathroom door and the head of house keeping said that she was going to make sure my room was super ready for me. The lies The Lies!!!!
I couldn’t get my money back when I checked out but was told that I should’ve brought that to their attention when I first saw it. Really!!!! Then in my hurry to leave I left my double stuffed Tommy Hilfiger pillows in a navy blue fleece pillow case. When I came back to get it I was told housekeeping must’ve put it in their locker (Really) Because he didn’t see it in their lost and found. By the way I’m talking to the Asst Manager or the GM of the property when I checked out and when I came back for the pillow. He told me to give him my number and he would call me back the second housekeeping came to work and pulled it out their lockers. Well let me tell you this was on the 30th of April 2018 and I still haven’t heard from him or the hotel...
I just want my money back from this horrible stay 52.17 and my 125.00 for my designer pillows that I never got back!!!
To anyone looking to stay here DONT, TURN AROUND AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Even if it’s cheap pay a lil more to get a lil better. This property needs to be shut down and totally renovated and a new staff hired. Hell the Asst Mngr or GM of the property told me he was looking to replace the housekeeping staff because of the same complaints I was making and I couldn’t get a dime back and you know the problem exist!!!
Bad FORM DAYS INN you have lost a customer but still want to...
