We really were hoping, based on the posted reviews, that we had found a diamond in the rough, a local hole in the wall, a new favorite breakfast place, but we will not be back. When we drove up to a 3/4 empty parking lot of a very deserted strip mall, it didn’t bode well. We walked inside and were greeted right away, asked if we were there for take out. We said dine in & were handed poorly laminated one sheet menus and told we could sit anywhere…because the place was completely empty…at 1:30pm on a Sunday. The place was clean and decor appropriate. We ordered coffee and breakfast. The coffee was gas station quality (worse than diner coffee) and they were out of pork sausage and when I asked for all the veggies in my omelet I was told he’d put in whatever they had available (but neglected to mention which veggies that would be). The menu had options like spinach and mushrooms, onions, peppers, etc. The omelet came with peppers & bacon since they were out of sausage. My husband’s soft scrambled eggs came out still raw and runny - not properly soft scrambled. The grits had no discernible flavor and had lumps. The Texas toast was the thinnest and smallest variety I’ve seen served in a southern restaurant. To top all this off - everything was served on/in styrofoam as if we had ordered takeout. No real silverware, just the tiny fork/knife/spoon combo you get from the most inexpensive takeout restaurants. Also - I know we were the only guests, but blaring the show “Cops” from the bar area while the “host” stands there watching doesn’t make for a very appealing atmosphere for brunch. Needless to say most of the food ended up in the trash can, including two coffees with just sips taken out of them. We cleared our own places since both the “host” and “waiter” were busy watching Cops on tv, and we...

It’s really nice inside with the paintings , I really enjoyed seeing African American’s all over the wall. The table is nice with the centerpiece as flowers at each table. It’s quiet ! I definitely will come back again and try more food items! It’s very affordable as well , I believe the breakfast sandwich is $5 and my fish and grits was $11 . You can’t BEAT THAT. My fish and grits came with (2) eggs & 2 pieces of toast ! Thank you living...
