THEY WILL STEAL YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. All staff is rude. Breakfast area so small you are bumping into people, you cant even pull the chairs out if someone is at the table next to you. There is ZERO handicap accessible entrances. Unless you want to hold the door open AND wheel yourself/belongings in. They do not have parking lot plowed at any point in time and the mold issue from wetness on the disgusting carpets should be ILLEGAL. The tiles on the bathroom floors are incredibly broken. The carpets are disgusting in the rooms as well. Very unwelcoming experience all around. Right next to the highway so super loud. Crackheads and unregistered vehicles all throughout. They have the AUDACITY to charge a $150 deposit when they have not a single thing positive in this hotel. You can read through the reviews to find others who have been quite literally robbed by the staff in this hotel. When i checked out after my week long stay, they returned my deposit to my card and then came back around and fraudulently charged it AGAIN after the fact. My room had messy sheets and trash, pretty normal for a week with two kids! Their room was trash before I ever walked in. I gave it some time, then began calling on monday to inquire about this charge. I was told to call back later for the desk person to speak with the manager. I gave them another day and called back, i was told they had an issue returning my deposit and they took my name and number to call me back with some 'return code' or something like that to give to my bank. They never called me. I had to, for the THIRD TIME, initiate the contact, and now after a week of calling suddenly the room was damaged but they dont think they can provide me with the video evidence they supposedly had. I have been staying in these hotels for months, bouncing to different ones. I have NEVER had this issue, i have left rooms quickly without being able to clean up better after staying for multiple weeks at a time and still havent had them claim i 'damaged their room'. But at this point, ive been led on all week being told random excuses, i had already received my deposit back and they specifically told me they return deposit upon checkout AFTER inspection. This is very shady and sketchy especially after i saw the manager has committed fraud using people's cards prior to this. I would suggest the La Quinta on 120th, deposit is $100 and the rooms are clean, hard wood, they plow their lot, breakfast is wonderful, and they are super...
Read moreWhen we first arrived, it appeared this hotel did not understand hospitality. We reserved it because of the bargain price, but this is a sub-par Quality Inn. After reading reviews from several months ago, I realized that this hotel has actually improved since then, but still has more improvements to go. Here’s what I observed:
(good) They added entryway security so only guests and staff can enter
(good) The room was clean, did not smell, and met expectations
(good) They provided a work desk and chair where I could work
(good) They provided Room With a Brew coffee in-room
(good) They assigned us a room with a view of the Rockies (the other side has a view of the Interstate)
(good) The cleaning staff were courteous and cleaned well
(good) Our room (307) had a very nice view of the Rockies
(bad) Upon arriving, the check-in person struggled for 5 minutes to get the key coding machine to work properly (was she properly trained?)
(bad) During our four day stay, our room keys had to be recoded several times so we could enter our room
(bad) The north side door key reader did not function; we had to always enter through the front
(bad) They offer free breakfast via take-out bag, but the front desk could not commit to when the bags were ready
(bad) We tried to pick up our breakfast at 7am; the front desk was out of breakfasts with no idea what day they would be replenished; so, no breakfast
(bad) Clearly, the management did not have a good plan for their breakfast offering. Nor back-up plan.
(bad) The lobby coffee was rarely ready before 9am. Or 10am? But they claimed it would be available around 7.
(bad) The TV remote’s batteries were dead; after replacing them, the remote worked sometimes and sometimes not
(bad) The room had a window heater/cooler; two of the buttons were missing, which made operation more difficult
(bad) I gently bumped a wood hanger for coats at the room’s entry – and it came apart
I am hopeful that this hotel will continue to improve. And the staff be trained in better hospitality. I think most of my issues above are...
Read moreUpon check in I was told I had a 1 bed room. I asked the gal to double check because I thought I had booked a two bed room. After further clicking she told me our room was originally two beds but the manager reassigned us that morning. I asked her why I wouldn’t have been notified but she said I’d have to talk to the manager. I completed check in and asked if there was a cart available. She said they only have one cart but someone has it up in their room. On checkout I asked for a cart and was told that they don’t currently have any and are waiting on a shipment. Because of the cart discrepancy I asked her to check my reservation again and I was told that it was only for 1 bed. At this point I was frustrated because either the night gal or this day gal was lying to me. It was less about the room I got but about the different answers and how frustrating that was. I could have been nicer but, come to to find out I was talking to the front desk manager, she was very rude and did nothing to try to resolve the situation. She told me I was rude and she won’t be interrupted. I am a manager in customer service as well and I know customers can be very frustrating and rude. That wasn’t my intent. I felt that management should know what their staff is saying and the frustration that caused. Manager’s especially should be able to read the situation and respond to the customer in a way to de-escalate the situation rather than start out as a dismissive and in-ininterested in finding a way to send the customer away happy.
Along with others issues such as a door that stuck (very hard to open with full arms due to lack of a cart), the building smelled strong of a smoke and cleaning chemical mix, there was a rubber mat laid across the outdoor steps (a hazard for someone carrying coolers and bags) I would not recommend this particular...
