What a wonderful place to stay on our southwest family vacation. Staff was awesome Becky was very accessible by cell phone, always friendly and accommodating. The made to order breakfasts in Trapper's Den were FANTASTIC. The met my son's Celiac disease needs perfectly. A great way to start the day.|On the outskirts of historic Williams, AZ TR is handy to Route 66 fun as well as within an hour of Flagstaff and other northern AZ offerings (Lowell Observatory, Sunset Crater Volcano, Meteor Crater). Also, was about an hour to the Grand Canyon. Enough about location. It is very close to the highway but were heard no road sounds whatsoever. BE CAREFUL of I-40 from Kingman. It is a pot-hole laden dangerous mess. We drove the historic Route 66 from Seligman eastbound as much as it was actually in much better shape!||We stayed in the Squash Blossom Suite which had a king bed in one room and two twins in a trundle bed arrangement in the other room. Clean with fridge and microwave. |It is laid out like a western town movie set. They formed a square around a relaxing central gazebo area that has many games for kids an hammocks.||We only spent 2 nights but would like to stay longer sometime in the future. Very highly recommended for a family or couples if you are...
Read moreOur flights got canceled. They refuse to help at all. I was willing to pay any amount to reschedule but they refuse. They charged us the full amount as soon as they heard our flight got canceled - literally within seconds, probably to ensure they got it. Ouch. Of course they won’t reschedule me. I would have paid any fee honestly, like let’s make a deal - charge me 50% for this one and they would have gotten my money again in the future had they been willing to bend. It’s super hurtful to have our vacation forcibly canceled by the airline and then have the hotel still hit you for over a thousand bucks - nearly $1500, between the original deposit and this part. I actually chose not to book through Booking.com and to book direct because I thought it would be better. That was a mistake. They said we will give you 20% off next time! There will be no next time, I can assure you of that. The railroad moved our tickets, the rental car company canceled no problem, but these guys are going to get their cash. Get it, I guess but dang y’all - have a heart. It’s just twisting the knife at this point to do it so fast, like oh let me get my money real fast (so I know that’s where your mind went...
Read moreMy husband and son recently traveled to Williams as part of a "male bonding trip" and I thought Trapper's Rendezvous would be a fun place for them to stay. Don't let the relatively small amount of Google reviews fool you....on other hotel booking websites, they have HUNDREDS of five star reviews. And it's well deserved. My husband and son had an incredible vacation filled with adventures and wondrous sites to behold (including the Grand Canyon) but do you know what they can't stop talking about? Trapper's Rendezvous and the amazing couple who run it. We've always loved Williams but we HATE chain hotels so we've stayed away for years. After this experience, Williams will be our family's summer destination every year and Trapper's Rendezvous will be our home away from home. As my husband said, "It's like visiting family." I would add that it's possibly even better. Clean, incredibly comfortable, charming, very quiet, AMAZING breakfast and too many thoughtful little "extras" to even list. Melissa and Wade are almost too nice to be real. Recommending to all of our family...
