When I need to stay in Winslow I've always chose Motel 6 because of it's cleanliness and convenience. I don't know if I'll stay there again in the near future. Very disappointed. The moment we entered the room there was water on the floor, not sure where it came from. I called the office and let them know, they said they would clean it up. We were tired and hungry so we decided to get dinner, I told the office people we'll be out so the floor can be cleaned. Prior to leaving we turned on the AC because the room was extremely warm and uncomfortable. We were gone almost 2 hours (10:30pm) and when we returned the room temperature didn't change much. Being that we had a long drive and were exhausted my children went to bed. We woke up in the middle of the night due to the warm air in the room. The AC was set at the coldest and the fan was set at the highest level but not much was coming from the AC. I called the office but there was no answer. My son decided to sleep in the vehicle where it was cooler. My daughter and I slept on top of the covers. By 5am it was unbearable and we just left. I never called the hotel office again after my first attempt a couple of hours earlier. I don't know if these ACs get checked regularly but I think it should be something done periodically. The water on the floor was apparently from housekeeping's regular practice of unplugging the refrigerator and microwave if a guest is not in the room. Luckily for Motel 6 none of us slipped on the puddle when we first entered the room. Every room should be, at the least, safe and comfortable for every guest that pays (even one night) to...
Read moreThe front desk clerk Rowen was very nice and polite and helpful she asked for us to give an honest survey, so here we go. The room seem to be remodeled recently maybe within the year or two, the fridge has a lot of wear on it dents and marks on a white fridge inside a dark stained wood box really makes it stand out. Now the truly concerning thing about the place is the exterior doors don't actually shut and lock they also are being held together jonting strips, also the pool seems to be seems to have been closed for at least 3 months right now from viewing previous reviews. When we booked through Expedia our two rooms, we we're under the assumption that there was a breakfast a simple continental breakfast, but we found out that there is no breakfast. It's kind of a bare bones Hotel that needs to fix their doors and replace out-of-date or abused fridges. The rooms seem clean relatively clean, but when we entered the hallway from the northwestern Side doorway there was a distinct odor of somebody smoking pot this is a non-smoking Hotel and it was a faint odor not like walking through a cloud of smoke like we've had to endure at some previous other hotels we've stayed at. If the pool was open, the refrigerator fit in better or in better shape, and the doors were fixed and worked then I would of...
Read moreWe're heading across the 40 and the location is literally road side, can can't beat that! There are a couple late night drive thru options for bedtime meals which is a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. We have two rooms for our group. They called us to confirm our reservation and request. We're traveling with 92yo father in law who, although is still very independent, needs since assistance. The wonderful staff got us side by side rooms which made it so my easier to check in on him during the night and check in with him in the 🌅. The rooms are quite spacious, very clean and comfortable with newer bedding and furnishings. The bathrooms are tiny and there are a few things that could use proper repair., like the grab bar in the shower/tub looks like it was installed by an amateur at best with globes of caulking. That doesn't affect the shower itself but it does me question cleanliness (because it's unsightly) and it's ability to truly hold and serve its purpose. My big issue - NO HOT WATER last night. They stuff they were having a problem with the...
