As someone who frequently travels for work and personal trips, this is the by far the worst hotel Iāve stayed at. First observations driving in was that none of the landscaping was mowed or kept up, the stairs and sidewalks are in poor condition, and paint peeling or gone in the railings. The lobby is very dated and smelled of smoke. I booked though Choice Hotels directly, but when arriving at 10:30pm the front desk clerk could not pull up my reservation. I then provided the confirmation email and the confirmation number to them which they ran a search on for past/present reservations. Once they found the reservation record, I was told my reservation had been cancelled and my room with two queen beds had been given away earlier in the day. There were only a few single bed rooms available. When going to my room at first the door did not work with my key card, the front desk clerk came, and was able to get me in (the key worked, but was extremely temperamental, and you had to hold it to the door lock for several seconds to open). The hotel room had multiple screws and small holes in the wall from perhaps old wall decorations, with only one art piece in the whole room. Both of the lamp shades where broken/bent, and the bathroom vanity had a section where the wood had broken off which had been painted over. The bathroom had mold around both the edge of the tub and a vent, the toilet lid did not sit on straight, and there were multiple screw holes in the wall from a former towel rack. The hotel room door did not close tightly and did not feel secure. The entire room also smelled like smoke/weed even though it was a non smoking room. The mattress was decent, although the top sheet had small holes in one corner from being washed several times, and the top comforter is thinner than disposable blankets Iāve received on airplanes.
I had booked this room for two nights, but after one night decided to check out since I had booked an alternative hotel. Even though I was checking out before the checkout time, the front desk staff was unable to give me a full refund for the next day due to it being a āpromotional rateā I had booked which was not apparent at the time of booking. I was told I would have to call choice customer service to get a refund at all, but that the staff would try to refund part of my card payment. I never received any sort of partial refund on this second night. I have stayed in Quality Inns before and been happy with the accommodations, but this was a dated hotel with no standards that needs a major facelift inside and out. For this being a Choice hotel, I was very disappointed in the low standards, and will likely consider other options for future...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBUYER BEWARE!!!! THESE ROOMS LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE ADVETISMENT. COMPLETE SCAM. THE ROOM I WAS GIVEN WAS ABSOLUTELY THE MOST DISGUSTING AND UNEXCEPTABLE PLACE I EVER VISITED. THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE ON THE LIST OF HOTELS TO STAY.. I arrived on 7/26 about 8:30 pm. I was given room 102. I thought the room would be decent, safe, and clean. I dropped off my bags into the room and proceeded to vacation. Finally later when I returned into the room. I took a second look. I couldn't believe my eyes...THIS ROOM WAS A NIGHTMARE!! IT REALLY LOOKED LIKE IT WAS OUT OF A HORROR MOVIE SCENE. The room stunk with a odor. I saw roaches on the bed and head board. Instead of leaving right there, I still tried to make the best of it because it was now 3:00 in the morning and I was tired... I was so skeptical, and disturbed by this time, I tried changing my own sheets. I got from a near by family member who I was visiting, and when I removed the sheets from the bed, š±š¤®š¤¢ it was all over for me. It looked like a crime scene out of a movie!! It was blood soaked stains in the mattress, and other questionable stains, on the bed. Then i took my phone light and looked closer at the edge of the bed and under the pillow...it was bed bugs, and roaches, the light fixtures were broken. I was right the sheets were dirty, and there was cigarette burns throughout the sheets and comforter. Mold through out the shower, a broken smoke š¬ detector that was detached from the wall, big and tiny holes in the walls,š the walls were peeling paint. And one set of stained, dengy, towels that was qestionable. š¤ After i took pictures of the room for my proof, I then went back to the front desk. To make a complaint. The front desk clerk, treated me as if I caused all the problems, then the manager, gave me two other rooms to check out. The keys didn't work. By this time, I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A HORROR MOVIE, AND I WAS THE NEXT HARVEST. I WENT BACK TO THE FRONT DESK CLERK, I TOLD HER, THE KEYS DIDN'T WORK. SHE THEN ASKED ME... "DID I TRY TO OPEN THE DOOR IN A CERTAIN WAY." I THEN TOLD HER..."It shouldn't be a magical way to open a room door." That looked like it was kicked in a few times in the past. I was COMPLETELY DONE!!! It was now 3:55 and i was tired. I asked for a refund and the manger refunded me half of my money he stated... "I was there already for 4 hours." I told him..." If I didn't try to change the sheets, I wouldn't have known what I was about to sleep on. I could have become sick. The front desk clerk words to me were..." The room is fine, I sleep here and my family dose too." š±š¤Æš¤¦āāļø I gave them the keys and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I had my company book me a room at this location in May this year for me to stay 2 nights while I had a training to go to in the Winston-Salem area. I arrived at the hotel and the room was absolutely filthy. There was a cigarette hole on the top of the bed. The sheets were so wrinkly- as though they had not been washed since the last customer stayed. On top of that, the stench of the room was absolutely disgusting. I felt gross just being in there and did not want to touch anything. I called down to the front desk to notify attendant that I was going to have to make other arrangements and would not be staying (I had to contact a relative who lived about 45 minutes away to stay with them). I told her that I would be leaving and would not be back. At no point did the front desk attendant ask what the issue was or if there was anything she could assist with. I received a response of, āokayā. I asked her if I needed to bring my hotel keys down to the front desk or if it was okay to leave in hotel room. She notified me that I could leave in the room and that would be fine. I again clarified that I would not be returning and would not keep the previous reservation that was made. Again, very unconcerned, she responds with an āokayā. At that point our conversation ended. After this awful experience I then see on my credit card statement that they did not cancel my second night reservation and they charged me for an additional night. I go to contact them to dispute this and after waiting 3 weeks I get a response that the hotel will not process the refund because the housekeeping staff said that I was in the room... I have been fighting 1 1/2 months to prove that I did not stay in that disgusting room. Provided pictures, screenshots of messages sharing with multiple people that I did not stay and a written response from my relative verifying that stayed with them during that time. All throughout this time I have tried to contact the owner via email and phone calls- no response. Worst customer service and clearly liars and thieves is what you are dealing with at this hotel. DO...
