I booked this suite nonsmoking for a week in advanced for 2 nights and 2 days. The outside of the is decent but when i came inside to register i knew that i was in trouble when the carpet on front of the registration desk was so dirty. I wonder how clean my room would be. The girl i think her name was jasmine processed me and i give her my booking information with the type of room that i wanted. She give me my key and the room number which is on the third floor and intructed us how to get to the room. Feeling excited to finally going to my room. Got in the elevator to the third floor and all i smell is cigarette smoke. Ok. I thought that maybe someone was smoking in the hallway but i know that once i get in my room that i would be better. Come out the elevator walking towards my room, i nearly twisted my ankle, apparently, there is a dent on the floor and the just cover the area with the carpet. Got inside and i still smell the cigarette., now im wondering why did i booked a nonsmoking and the room smell like smoke, this room got to be nonsmoking because that was what i specified. Got on the bed and its even worse. It feels like im laying down and someoneis standing on the bed smoking and blowing the smoke right in my nose. I used my perfumed and it doesn't help at all. Now im wondering how clean are those beddings, the bathroom is looking disgusting, shower head looks like it from the 70s rusty and full of the pinkiish water stain. finally up and called the office and asked that I must have been placed in a smoking room instead of nonsmoking, not only my room smell like cigarette but the whole floor she replied, yeah you have smoking room because we were bookef. I asked her to change my room immediately. She told me that i had to wait untill the next morning. This is ridiculous if my needs as to be breathing clean air could not be met, i should have been told and i would gladly go to another hotel even if it cost me more money. Now my whole mood and trip is ruined. This is unacceptable, i cant even sleep, i feel like im sleepingin an ashtray. I can smell cigarette smoke yards away. Now my freaking pillow and the sheets the wall paintings. The carpet and all the furniture in my room is exuding cigarette.. this is night one if they dont change my room. I will leave in the morning. I will not spend...
Read moreThe male manager of this establishment should be removed from his position. He doesn't exhibit any of the customer sevice that is needed for the hospitality industry. In short he was excessively rude and didn't possess the knowledge to be able to efficiently check us into the hotel when we arrived. Additionally, this hotel should be burned to the ground and a new one built. The reason I say burned is because there is clear evidence of black mold and they are still housing people in these areas on the premises. The room had an awful odor and was substandard at best! There was no shower curtain available for use of the shower; and the tub was not properly cleaned, as it had hair on the sides upon inspection of the room. The towels also had hair on them as well and the toilet was not cleaned as it should have been. We were reduced to squatting and hovering carefully during the stay. The bathroom door was in such bad shape that it made us feel uncomfortable with shutting the door for use of the restroom. The lock on the front door was coming off the wall and once again did not insure the security it was meant to provide. It is obvious that maintenance and cleanliness is not paramount with this establishment because there was a faucet that never turned completely off; even when it was placed in the off position. The dust, filth and rust in the room is proof of poor upkeep and regular maintenance. I understand that this business is privately owned, however, it gives the entire Wyndham brand a bad name! Ms. Willie Mae, who was the night desk clerk, was the only bright spot during the stay. She made sure we were able to use the broken key box to gain entry into the hotel. Her customer sevice was premiere and deserves...
Read moreDear General Manager, don't bother replying to my review with your lame canned response--just get off your butt and do your job fixing the problems you haven't addressed for months, based on the reviews here.(Ha-ha, Update: I received the same exact apology as all other reviewers!) Review: Grim hotel with no amenities, struggling to keep up appearances and lacking security. Advertised "by Wyndham" but have a large sign inside saying privately run and managed? Not a very restful or peaceful atmosphere. Two rooms near my door were playing loud rap music continuously until late at night. There was a lot of door slamming heard. Sleep was interupted by loud, profanity-ridden verbal fight between two women at 4:30 AM in the hall outside my door and then in the parking lot that went on for over an hour. Hallway and elevator smelled of skunky marijuana smoke. I will say the room was clean and spacious except there were blood stains on the curtains. Bed was very comfortable. However, no bar soap or cups provided. Had two hair conditioners and tiny hand lotion but no shampoo. The "continental" breakfast was deplorable. Not sure what continent it represented but I would guess it's a sad, third world continent to be avoided. Saw one mushy looking plastic wrapped pastry, a few stale mini-muffins, and fruit loops--no bowls or spoons or napkins. Had terrible instant coffee and fake orange juice. No hot foods, not even toast. The dining room was dark. Tables were not set up, chairs were on top of them. Indoor pool and gym were CLOSED. It's a shame as it's located on a beautiful property, tree-lined drive, with nice wooded views. This was probably once a 4-star hotel, now ruined by incompetent, lazy and...
