So, I've had to return two orders within a week here for the same exact reason. All of my food was covered in grill dirt(burnt particles of food coming from previous orders), whoever is cooking here at night has to be a complete slob to never clean his grill. I came to return it and little miss thing in charge at night must have thought I was joking because she literally laughed in my face after I explained to her the difference between lining food with burn marks and have a trashy nasty grill. Not to mention, the fact that my bacon wraps were coated with grill dirt inside and out. Upon returning home from getting my refund I find my significant other's bbq sandwich not only has Cole slaw inside, but literally has two servings worth of extra Cole slaw on top of the bun!! I hate this so much, because I absolutely love and adore cookout as a restaurant, but the busted looking night manager needs to go, prob the night cook too if he can't stop being lazy. Plenty of other more deserving people that would do a better job out there. I couldn't even get a refund for the bbq sandwich tray because the ratchet night manager didn't bother with a receipt as she walked away laughing at me. I am seriously searching hard right now for a reason to keep eating here, because their shakes never disappoint, and the white girl with the short hair that makes my shakes at night is always super nice and friendly along with the daytime crew who are usually wonderful. I'm not trying to be petty here, but I'm a cook, and while I'm not the best cook out there I know that the food they are serving at night has got to be upsetting everyone's stomach. I would never serve food like that, and I don't expect it to be served to me. Like really if something doesn't happen to fix this, I'm calling your corporate office with a list of complaints and accompanying pics that will absolutely embarrass Cookout...

Most likely because the lady at the window was more interested in playing on her phone than waiting on customers. Several of her co-workers were looking over her shoulder. Probably why the line was so long. When she finally did open the window she started out with did I take your money yet. I probably could have got free food out of it. She took that pretty quick. Handed me my order in a bag but didn't take care that the trays were flat which ended up turning sideways. She closed the window while I continued waiting. A good long time later she opened the window and asked what I was still waiting on. My drinks. I finally got them. My order was mostly correct but the honey mustard and ketchup I requested was left out. Cookout corporate if you read this you might want to have a word with your people about customer service. Read moreIt’s always a hit or miss when coming to this location. I ordered an Oreo Fudge Cheesecake milkshake. Tastes nothing like fudge and the cheesecake is nowhere to be found. Even after I repeated my order 3x times at the speaker, and TWICE at the window. It literally taste like a regular Oreo milkshake. This has happened to me NUMEROUS times at this location. If you’re going to raise the prices on shakes at least make sure you’re workers are going to make the shakes correctly. There’s even been plenty of times where I’ve ordered a milkshake and the toppings are on top instead of mixed in. You can even tell the difference when they’re using regular chocolate syrup instead of fudge.
(I’ve worked at every cookout in Winston Salem so I know how lazy they get when it comes to making milkshakes.)
