The prices listed on the internet menu are not the current $$ on the menu at the restaurant and the $$ are cash prices, there is an upcharge for paying with a card. The customer experience for ordering and picking up my order was not good, it wasn't terrible, but subpar enough that it requires mentioning. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with the rice and beans;after the CC charge and the admin fee, my order was $16.37. The chimichanga was not good at all, the shell was not crispy, it did not appear to be deep fried in the least, possibly gently sauteed at the most, it was a soggy and sloppily wrapped tortilla without form. The flavors were muddled throughout the dish; everything has the same unappealing, underlying flavor. None of the dishes were developed to have a presence of their own, it wasn't harmony, just one bad note throughout. I can't imagine the experience being any different than putting everything in a blender and pouring it on a plate, in terms of taste. The refried beans were nasty, the rice was old and bland and the chicken in the chimichanga lacked flavor, an authentic Mexican taste and had an unpleasant aftertaste. It was just not good at all in terms of flavor or desirability. The presention was a sloppy mess and the overall temp was a hair's breath from being considered cold. Disappointing experience. 1st and last time coming here. The search for a Good Mexican restaurant in Winter Haven for this Texas native...
Read moreI’m sorry but if I could I would give 0 stars. Right off the bat I was put off by the run down outside of the building however, there are a lot of “hole in the walls” similar that are fantastic so we put that aside. Upon sitting at the table my sister proceeded to ask if I smelt mold, again put off I’m trying to give the benefit of the doubt. The chips and salsa come, which by the way is the only Mexican restaurant I’ve ever heard of charging for a second round….. anyway the salsa tasted just like tomato sauce, period. For my entree I ordered a combination of cheese enchilada, beef burrito, and chile relleno. When it came at first looked decent. Oh and by the way DOESNT COME WITH RICE AND BEANS… First bite of enchiladas was completely taken aback, it was hard and salty and just not good in any form of the word, second bite beef burrito, it was like it was dipped in water before being put on my plate, at this point I had no hope for the chile relleno, which would be correct. That as well was completely unappealing. My mom has to specifically ask someone to bring us more drinks…. Everything all in all was really horrible. Luckily I only spend 12.00 something for my meal but that was 12.00 that I just lit fire too. If you’re wanting GOOD Mexican food just go to mega Mercado...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! Came in and waited to be seated stood there for 15 minutes no one acknowledged we were even there mind you we were right in front of them. Fast forward to today come in same thing waited a good minute to be seated weren’t even acknowledged. Wasn’t busy at all it was fairly empty , so we decided to seat ourselves. Over 30 mins passed with no one coming to us. Other guest came in within those 30mins and they were attended to immediately. I finally got up to say something and was met with a rude waiter and told me that the section we decided to sit at was closed off.. (there was no sign, no one said anything to us) he just watched us sitting there without telling us. And then told us that he was the only person working on the floor. Which would be fine if he expressed that to us from the very beginning. But he attended every guest who came in after us. He just ignored us because we were sitting in the right spot and told us if we would of stood up and waited to be seated we wouldn’t have been ignored so I proceeded to tell him we did wait for more then 15mins for a seat and all he did was pass us each time. And I’m the middle he just walked away...
