I got my iPhone 13 Pro Max screen fixed back in either march or April. Within the first week of getting it fixed, the screen started coming apart from my phone. I originally wasn’t going to put a bad review because of how nice the guy was but after what just happened, you all need to be made aware of something extremely important. This shop does not use authentic apple screens. I immediately got a notification when I got my phone that the screen was not an apple screen and it warned me it wouldn’t work properly. It was right. Ever since the same week I got it fixed, I’ve had to tape my phone screen to my phone. I put a glass cover on the screen immediately. I barely dropped the phone and there was immediately a black dot covering the top left of my phone. Didn’t even drop it on the screen, it dropped on the corner of my extremely protective phone case. I barely dropped the phone a couple more times over the course of the month and the actual screen straight up started cracking and chipping, not even doing anything to the glass cover. The screens they use are extremely weak. Every authentic apple screen I’ve ever used takes WAY more force for it to even crack. No, I wasn’t being irresponsible like a review I saw a while ago, where the shop owner told them they were being irresponsible. I was even MORE careful with this screen than I was with the last one. The brand they use for apple screens is MUCH weaker, does not work properly, and breaks extremely easily. So now, I’m back home in Michigan. Last night I tossed my phone no more than 2 feet onto my mattress and the screen came COMPLETELY off my phone and stopped working entirely. I payed over $550 for this. Because I have apple care, I figured “no problem, I’ll go into the city tomorrow morning and my insurance will make it cost just $30.” I go in this morning, and they say insurance won’t cover it because this repair shop used a screen that didn’t belong to apple, and my apple insurance wouldn’t cover the repair since it wasn’t an apple product. I just had to drop $1000+ this morning because of this. Even the apple employees said they didn’t glue it anywhere enough. I can’t even begin to express how much I wouldn’t recommend or trust this shop if you have apple products. Especially if you have apple care/insurance, remember, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPAIR YOUR PHONE BECAUSE THIS SHOP DOES NOT USE AUTHENTIC APPLE PRODUCTS. INSURANCE WONT BE ABLE TO COVER IT. You will be stuck buying a brand new product just like me. I really expected so much better since I payed over $550 just to replace the screen. This shop prioritizes buying cheaper alternatives to make a bigger profit, resulting in your phone breaking much easier. I researched the brand they used and all the reviews fall along the lines of what I just said. Save yourself $1600 and don’t come here if you’re in need of replacing an apple product. Last thing I needed to happen to me a day before I’m moving to a new place. Now I’m broke because they couldn’t care less about the quality of their products, but instead the profit. I wish I never came here and just dealt with being without my phone for 2-3 weeks by shipping it to an apple facility, because then it would’ve only costed me $30 and I would’ve had the same phone. Easily the biggest regret I have in the...
Read moreBuyer beware, 20% restocking fee, nowhere listed on my invoice. I went to have me EarPods looked at as they stopped charging. The kid could not fix this but while I was there I asked for help buying a new charger for my iPhone & EarPods and an extra charging cord, I spent $56.33. Once home, I discovered it was the wrong plug for my devices. I called before returning it. Steve said if the packing was not torn, which it was not, I could exchange it for the correct product. Drove back there and selected a new charge at the store while checking out the kid said there is a 20% restocking charge, no where on my receipt is this disclosed. I argued I was sold the wrong product & was retuning it for a product that works with my devices and I had called earlier and was told I could exchange. I was told by the kid everything’s on camera as to say I had asked for the wrong cord,,or was it to threaten me in some way? The kid called to owner Steve who then authorized the exchange with out the 20 % restocking fee. When the kid rang me up he short changed me. My return charger cost $33.89 plus tax $4.29 = $38.18, he exchange it for a $26.99 no tax item… short changed me $6.81 plus the tax of $4.29, which is more then 20%. I said this is wrong it was now 15-20 minutes.. I was over it, I’ll report to the CC company. Shame on you for such terrible...
Read moreLiving in the Winter Park area can be hard as we don't have all the amenities as a big town like Denver and this was true when I put my iPhone through the snowblower. I called and talked with Steve the owner and he had an unlocked iPhone 13 ProMax in stock and had me up and running on a new phone in a matter of a couple of hours. Once phone was working he made numerous suggestions on how the phone should be set up as to not loose any more data and literally sat with me until we had it all dialed in. I have also had them replace my broken screen in the past and they are all about customer service. Super friendly and caring in an industry that is so cut throat. I will always recommend Steve and his team at Device Doctors for any cell phone needs in the valley. Save your time and money and not go to Denver! Device Doctors is...
