The hotel was clean and inviting. The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and kind. The kitchen staff were also very kind as well. However it is very disconcerting that the view from my room is a car junk yard. I didn't pay Marriott that much money for a view of a disgusting junk yard. Something needs to be done about this dreadful view. My wife and I should not be exposed to decay and rot. Nowhere in Marriott's advertisement did the say that we would be exposed to such filth and grime, actually they set about in their advertisement to portray the ambiance of the hotel and the grounds surrounding the hotel was pristine and welcoming. this is considered false advertisement. Which is found in the Truth in Advertising 15 US Code 54. On the 31st August we were shuttled to a wedding and was promised that the shuttle would be available for us on our return trip to the hotel. The shuttle was scheduled to pick us up at 09:15pm from the wedding reception hall this turned into a debacle, we were on time and waited for over an hour for the shuttle that never came, eventually I called the hotel to inquire about the shuttle and was told that the shuttle " was doing an airport run and will be there shortly" this was very frustrating and unacceptable. however we hunkered down to wait for the shuttle that never came. Eventually I called back the hotel and the clerk told us again that the shuttle was on its way. I hung up and waited for a shuttle that never came. I called back the hotel clerk and voiced my displeasure with the clerk, he then told me that he would send a cab that will be there in half an hour and again we waited for a taxi cab that never came. By this time we were standing outside of the reception hall in the summer heat for more than two hours waiting for " A SHUTTLE THAT NEVER CANE" and " A TAXI THAT NEVER CAME" We eventually made our way back to the hotel and I spoke to the clerk on duty, who lacked any sympathy and did not apology for our situation. I am totally disappointed with the way in which my wife and I were treated. This is unacceptable and Marriott should compensate us for the inconvenience and vexation that was caused by the staff and a shuttle...
Read moreCheck in: 5/24/19 - Iâm giving this hotel a 2 because the manager, Brian, was helpful in resolving some major discrepancies. The WIFI service was good and the beds were comfortable. Although the price is reasonable, you can definitely get better rooms in the area (next door at the Comfort Inn for that matter). I booked this hotel because I was getting married in NJ and this was one of the closest hotels. Plus, it has the Marriott name so I expected outstanding customer service. When I walked into my room and did a clean sweep I noticed my room wasnât thoroughly cleaned (the bathroom). There wasnât any maintenance staff available or any other rooms for that matter, so Brian went and cleaned my room. He apologized and advised me to call him with any issues. It was the night before my wedding. I wasnât comfortable in the room, but I had to deal with it because I needed to get some sleep for my big day. Anyway! I checked out my room next morning but hubby kept his so we can have something to come back to. I knew there was something up with his room when we got back from the wedding when I walked in and immediately couldnât breathe. His room appeared to look clean, but it is actually a field for dust. Good thing I carried my allergies medication with me. So, 2 nights and 2 separate rooms and there were cleanliness issues.
On top of that we were promised a honeymoon romance package (Amber at the front desk said she didnât know what that was), we were suppose to get a complimentary free night before/after the wedding for booking 10 rooms (we actually booked 15) more of my guest was there as well ... WE BROUGHT THEM A LOT OF MONEY THAT NIGHT! And we couldnât even get was was presented to us. Instead we got inconvenienced and half cleaned rooms. Again, management (Brian) was great. However, my experience wasnât ,especially for choosing this place to celebrate our wedding.
Oh and my husband just advised me that they claimed we actually reserved 4 rooms and not 15!
Iâm going to have to speak to my venue and have them remove this place from their hotel suggestions. Who knows how many people had to deal with this nonsense.

Read moreHotel was clean. Had noisy A/C unit. Breakfast could use better eggs, but sausage was phenomenal. Nice pastries. Check in was good. Check out was NOT!!!! The individual behind the counter the morning we checked out was less than helpful. The maid forgot to leave us clean bath towels when she cleaned......not a big deal, mistakes happen. We didn't notice until the next morning when my wife got up to take her shower at 6am. She ended up using a couple of hand towels to dry. When she called down to the front desk to inform them of the mistake and request some towels for me, the young man behind the desk/counter said it would be at least 25 minutes before any would be sent up, but that we could come down and get them if we wanted to. Bad enough but he didn't even say "I'm sorry!" 1 hour later still no towels. My wife went down after I had finished using the hand towel to dry off to let him know how we felt. When she approached him about the matter he said "oh, well I kinda got distracted and forgot." Then proceeded to tell my wife that he told us we could have come down to get some! That didn't set well with her or myself. After slowly realizing what he had just done he finally said that for our inconvenience he would give us triple the points for our stay. I told my wife that we would never see those points as he just wanted to get rid of us. Now, I am asked to take a survey possibly recommending this hotel. As of yet there have been no points applied. How can I give any kind of recommendation when we've had the experience we just had. Makes me wonder where this young man got his training. I realize not all Marriott affiliated hotels provide this kind of experience but for one so close to international travelers, New York City, Newark Airport, and on the recommended lodging list for Watchtower I would think there would be a little more care provided for the guests when a...
