Gyros Corner — Restaurant in Rahway

Food is great and had a really good experience with the place for the past few times we ordered.

I placed an order 10 mins prior on DoorDash and a friend walked in and he said can you add to it - I said I’ve done it in the past but it’s already been 10 mins since I ordered just place another other - don’t want to inconvenience anyone there.

He proceeded to order 2 more gyros and realized too late it only added 1 to the cart. So he called back immediately and the woman there refused to add another one even though we done it before.

So I called back and asked for the owner and she said he was too busy - I told her I’ve added things to the order before and she said sorry because he was busy without even asking him.

Last time I am telling anyone to order through this place. What a shame - I know the owner would have done it if he saw the address because I order gyro from here 2-3 times a week. A good example of an employee not being on the same page as the management.

Rude! They don't pick up the phone during business hours. They have business hours posted and don't stand by their hours. They will randomly close early and will not pick up the phone to let you know they are closing early. I know because I drove all the way to the store to find out they decide to close early and someone was still in the store but never answer the phone. It real sucks when you don't live in the area and drive there to only find out they randomly decide to close early. From my experience you need to go there or call two hours before if you want to order because you never know if they decided to close a hour early. They literally close a hour before. Chicago Mike's Gyros Corner has a hot dog/burger menu.. Deitz & Watson Beer Steamed Dogs.. watch out for the amazing chili cheese dogs! You'll want to take em home! Turkey burgers, wings, great fries; greek salads with gyro, chicken gyro, grilled chicken; gyros, philly cheese steak, chicken breast sandwiches and my favorite- the Combo gyro platter with greek salad, pitas and fries or rice.

Breakfast selections include 8 mouth-watering omelettes, griddle specialties (try the pancakes w chocolate chips or Texas toast French toast)! They also serve Grits! Turkey bacon and beef sausage.. bacon, sausage and thin sliced pork roll.
