Great little cabin it was perfect for our little winter getaway. New owners are doing a wonderful job with these cozy cabins. We stayed in the deluxe family suite room 9. It was cozy and Clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Furniture and Decor was nice we like that it was equipped with a smart TV. We were able to watch our Netflix shows. Wood burning fireplace equipped with a duraflame log. The comforters were clean and warm made with down feather fill. The bathroom towels smelled so good and fresh I wish my fresh laundry smelled that good. The sheepskin rug was a nice touch! There was a Keurig coffee maker with the necessities for a yummy cup of coffee. Really liked that there was enough hanging space for our snow gear to dry without clutter. Parking was right in front of our room! Easy unloading and loading. I called a couple times to change reservations due to winter storm. The man that answered both times was very pleasant and gave me great info and advice. Great customer service. I will definitely be coming back!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. They knowingly rented us a room with broken a/c in the middle of summer. It was 90 degrees when we got into the room after 6 pm. There was a notice on the a/c unit that it was “temporarily broken.” The dubious sign on the opposite wall warned us not to open windows. It cooled down to 87 degrees by 9 pm. The front desk said that all the other rooms were rented out but we could open the windows. The problem is that we had to keep the windows and heavy curtains open all night to cool the room off, so people could walk by and look into the windows. When we closed the curtains, the temp rose back up to the ‘80’s. All in all, a terrible experience. I would definitely think twice about booking a room here.

This was my third stay here over the last few years and I have watched this place evolve to a truly hidden gem. You will not regret your stay. The beds and pillows are clouds, the bathroom accoutrements are on point, and the mini bar is fabulously stocked. Staff and management are incredibly helpful and kind.

My husband and I have been going to this place multiple times a year over the past 7 years. We expected not much and..well, got as much, even after the owners changed. Thin walls, below par bathrooms, no maid, spotty front office (and sometimes snippy) services. We were fine with this because we paid for we got and loved the “cabin” feel and how close it was to the main road and all of the local restaurants and bars. However after this last experience I’m heartbroken to say we will not be going here any longer. It actually really hurts me to write this because I truly loved this motel. I saw the owner change and loved talking to the other visitors at the motel. So here’s my problem. They scammed me out of 300 dollars. They called me the day of check in and informed me that chains were required. No problem; we’ve done that many times before. But they failed to mention the main highways (2 and 138) were closed. I’m am certain they had this information because the entire town was shut down and they then prompted me over and over again to check in online (something we had never done in the 7 years we’ve visited) so I did and paid for the first night. Well as you can imagine, we missed out on the first night due to the road closures. I understand that this was “an act of god” but they clearly knew the conditions were bad and that we couldn’t get up there. So why prompt me to even check in? The next day weather did not improve and didn’t look like it would be improving any time soon. I called the front desk and asked if she knew any other alternative routes due to CalTrans saying there was some other options. The woman at the front desk was short and said she had no idea where else I could go. She was snarky and very unhelpful. She also hung up on me twice before I finally talked to her. Longer story narrowed down, I called to say I couldn’t make it but was still charged for the other night. I couldn’t believe this And tried to call back but was sent to voicemail. So disappointed. If you can physically go into the front office, then this place is great. Otherwise do not trust their online services. Good by Grand Pines. I...

First I'll start with the good aspects of our stay- the check-in and check-out process was very smooth and quick- its all done on your phone. The manager on site was very polite, courteous and responsive to our requests. The issue was the room (cabin #9, Deluxe Family Fireplace Suite) which was not clean, at all. There was dog hair everywhere, and I mean everywhere- covering the floor, on the beds, all over the blankets- it was clear the room had not been vacuumed, or really cleaned at all after the previous guests' departure. We asked the front desk to please vacuum the room again and bring us a new blanket for the kids bunk bed room, which they did, and that helped a little. We still got back home with dog hair covering every inch on our clothing (we currently do not own any pets). Aside from the dog hair, there was what appeared to be dog food left on the carpet, there was absolutely no hot water in the bathroom sink (we had to wash our hands in the bathtub), the toilet had a hard time flushing, and the one wall heater in the main room (note- there is no heater in the separate room with the bunk bed in it- it got VERY cold in there) was SO loud and made so many banging and creaking noises that it kept my husband and I up almost the entire night. On our second night we asked for a space heater (which the front desk provided) and we used that instead of the wall heater- at least it was quiet and we were able to get some sleep. Overall extremely disappointed with the accommodations. The location is great- Wrightwood is a very cute little town and the cabins are within walking distance to basically everything and only a 6 minute drive from the Mountain High snow play area which we went to with the kids and was...

UPDATE 02/16/19-02/18/19 So after speaking to Lance from management about a month ago after our first stay he told me they were working on many updates with the cabins, the rooms themselves, bed, bathroom, hygiene products, coffee and pastries etc etc.. so we decided to make another trip up to Grand Pine Cabins and we were very surprised with how much they did! The overall customer service was top notch, Lance made sure to be there to assist with anything he could and man, everyone at the cabins went above and beyond. The room had a Cali king memory foam bed, the bathroom had been gone through with real tile floors and paint. Decorations in the room, sleep soupa d machine and plenty of coffee and creamer for two. They told us if we need anything to ask them and they weren't hard to find.. plenty of friendly staff will to answer question or get us anything we needed. They definitely made some huge improvements and we look forward to our next trip to the little cabins. Thanks guys

My gf came up here for a Friday night before the snow came early Saturday morning, location is cool, the room was decently sized and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary hygiene products were very poor but Lance from management called and assured me that they have been working on improvements and updates on a lot of stuff which was actually a surprise. I review a lot of stuff and this was the first time I had someone call me and ask me for my feedback. I was impressed. At first I wouldn't have thought to stay here again but after speaking to Lance I think...
