Couple good things about this place: Really close to Mt High Ski Resort and other shopping locations It has the essentials; shower, bed, and shelter. Has a fireplace for burning wood
Some bad parts about my experience: They are only in office for 3 hours of the day so if you miss your check-in time, good luck finding a place to stay. If you're someone who might be getting there late, call in and let them know. Heater barely works and smells toxic No WIFI. They say they have complimentary WiFi but they don't provide the name of the network nor does the password they provide work with any of the networks that are showing up. The person managing the rooms was a bit intrusive. He came back to knock on my room after I was already settled in and tried to give me instructions on checking out. I felt bothered because I was already relaxing at this time and I didn't have to check out until the next day. The instructions could've been sent in an email. I was talking to him through the window and he peeks through the little space I am seeing him through and starts asking what I was doing inside my room, seeing that I had the fire started in the fireplace. He kept insisting that I opened the door so he can show me "how to be careful". I told him that I was safe and I would rather not open the door. He kept knocking hard and called my phone about 5 times before he actually left me alone. That was a horrible experience considering I came up to the cabin to relax and seek peace. That...
Read moreHorrible experience! Person doing check-ins was the worse! He was rude, and when showing the room to my man and I, he goes and tries to give us a completely different room from what it was advertised! Then he keept accusing us of having Covid and because he showed us one room, he said now we have to take it... When my man and I realized that the actual room advertised and paid for was on the other side, we tell the check-in person, and he said that the room is $240 if we want that one! Which is the one we literally paid for! I paid that much money for it, but wouldn't give it to us. Then he says we needed to pay extra $39 for the room, and we even agreed to do it, but then he started having an argument with two other guests and wouldn't let them in either, and then just told me and my man, to go away and he won't give us any rooms anymore... He took the keys to the room he showed us, and so we ended up leaving because we needed a place to stay and it was getting late. We didn't even get to stay in the room, and wouldn't give us any refund, I am having to deal with Booking.com to see what I can do about it. I would not recommend anyone staying here, rooms are expensive and the person will try to give you the crappiest room available and way overpriced. Unless you are truly desperate and have money to spend, then go for it, otherwise, avoid it at all costs! I am still hoping to get my money back for a room we didn't even stay, because the person on-site was...
Read moreI booked a room last minute for my daughter and her friend to stay. We called and said they would be arriving late. Eddie was nice on the phone but seemed confused. Upon arrival, my daughter and her friend were Greeted by the manager, Eddie, who was acting very suspicious and creepy. My daughter called me on the phone and we did a FaceTime so I could monitor what was going on . I book through Expedia. He demanded my credit card to charge it again, was accusing my daughter of not being who she said she was.- And told her to hang up the phone with me! Ultimately, he took them back to their room walk them in to show them around paused, started talking to himself-In an agitated manner- And told them that they had to leave because they did not show a California REAL id. They do not have the new California real IDs yet- and they are not required for another year. Ultimately, the kids were left without a place to stay at 9 o’clock at night! I called him back, and he gave me some nonsensical rambling of an explanation. He said he had to talk to the owners to reimburse me and I have to also now go through Expedia to get reimbursed for the charge as well So last minute ski day has cost me $1000- The charges are from the same hotel, which my kids were kicked out of! My daughter’s got intuition was to leave as she did not feel safe or comfortable with this man. Luckily, we found a proper hotel for them nearby without...
